So I've been seeing this guy for a few months now, and honestly, he's kind of driving me up the wall. At first things were fun, but lately he's been showing all these red flags and I don't know what to do. He totally freaked out when he found out I'd done drugs in the past. Like, not even currently, just ever. Then he got weird about my body count, acting like it somehow made me less trustworthy or something?? It's not even that high, but even if it was… who cares??

And then there's the whole gay bar thing. I used to work at one, and when I mentioned going back there to visit friends, he got all insecure and sulky about it. Like, sorry you're intimidated by me having a social life?? And to top it off, when I went on vacation recently (which I told him about in advance), he was constantly messaging me and getting upset if I didn't respond right away. It felt like I couldn't relax or enjoy myself without worrying about his feelings every five minutes.

We don't even live in the same city (he's about an hour away) but even with that distance, I feel suffocated. I've been seriously considering doing a master's program that's a few hours away just so I can have a real excuse to get some space.

I don't know, am I being dramatic or is this as exhausting as it feels? What would you do??

Is he a baby gay? Not been out for very long? He sounds kinda repressed. He could grow out of it but he sounds exhausting and it's only been a few months :dies:

If you're looking for space this soon, it's probably best to end it sooner rather than later.

Edit: I didn't get the reference, bye

I love replying to these annoying boyfriend threads :weeps:

Have you tried checking his snapscore? :suburban:

Start working at a gay bar in Amsterdam next to your studies and increase your snap score :ryan3:

I don't think you're being dramatic whatsoever. :lakitu: This sounds exhausting. It honestly sounds like he's projecting a lot of insecurity onto you and trying to control things that aren't his to control. your past, your social life, even your time when you're on vacation does not belong to only him.

If you're already feeling this drained, it might be time to really think about whether this is helping you grow or just holding you back.

edit: YALL ARE WRONG ASF

Life is too short for that bs, he's shown you who he is now, you can't un-see it, you know what to do, you just don't have the confidence yet, but when you do.. if it's a case of getting him gone, remember to ensure the locks are changed during a window period when you know he's not in and won't be back, peace x

Either I'm having a serious case of déjà vu or you have posted this exact same thread before.
