I always feel conflicted when passed artists start topping charts. At one side I feel glad people want to listen to their music to remember them, on the other, why didn't they when she was still alive?

I'd also like to point out the hostility I often see from people who strongly identify with the "woke" side of politics (I guess we could call it that). What frustrates me is that you don't necessarily have to be racist, homophobic, transphobic, or hateful to be treated as if you are. The moment someone expresses an opinion that doesn't fully align with what is considered acceptable within that ideology, there always seem to be people ready to accuse them of being one or to come up with whatever label they can to discredit them. Instead of engaging with what the person actually said, they resort to moral condemnation and mental gymnastics to portray any disagreement as evidence of bigotry. That kind of hostility makes genuine discussion almost impossible.
