I decided to make a list of only a few of the things that Taylor Swift has done that deems her insufferable in my eyes.

1. Her "Surprise Face" at award shows. Her exaggerated reaction of feigned surprise when winning awards, seeing it as disingenuous or attention-seeking, especially when she's won many times and is almost always expected to win.

2. Playing the victim. She often frames conflicts (Kanye West, Katy Perry, or her exes) with her as the victim, sometimes even subtly weaponizing her fan base or media influence, while downplaying her own role in the drama.

3. Her "Squad" era. Her promotion of a girl squad made up of mostly tall, thin, conventionally attractive celebrities, cliquey, and reinforcing narrow beauty standards, while branding it as "female empowerment."

4. Calling out exes in songs while remaining vague. Her consistent use of personal lyrics with obvious clues, but without directly naming people, is very passive-aggressive.

5. Overusing Easter eggs. Her obsessive use of hidden messages, clues, and cryptic symbols to tease fans, I see it as overly controlling or self-important, as if every tweet or color choice has to be a "puzzle" worthy of decoding.

6. Her shift into political discourse after long silence. She was opportunistic or too late in speaking out politically (Trump-era policies), especially after years of remaining silent while benefitting from both conservative and liberal fans.

7. Taking on the role of a "Feminist Icon" after years of benefiting from the patriarchy. She rebranded herself as a feminist figure, but some might argue she built her early career on narratives that pit women against each other (Better Than Revenge), makes her pivot feel performative or hypocritical.

8. Releasing multiple versions of the same album. A cynical cash grab that manipulates fans' devotion.

9. Her public, yet carefully controlled relationships. From parading relationships in paparazzi-heavy locations to writing entire albums inspired by short-lived flings.

10. Her fans.

    Dear Reader

I think what's insufferable is spending a Sunday typing 10 reasons why another person is insufferable. But to each their own.

  • Men: rapist, murder, nazi.   Women: surprising face, annoying, blocking on charts, squad friends, mean vibes.

  • LOL! Yes, she very much is! Thank you for asking

So this is the Kukai of our Taylor Swift base, I see ijbol :sabrina:

Idk much but does Miss Swift have something called "Reverse Warholian Expedition" to counter attack these claims? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Can't imagine being so bothered by a pop star that I sit around complaining about things that haven't been relevant in over a decade and the fact that she does things that literally every pop star does. :rip:

Spoiler

  1. The "Surprise Song" Gimmick
Every night on the Eras Tour is a historic cultural event because she sang "Wonderland" acoustic for the first time since 2015?? Girl, be serious.
  2. The Constant Victim Narrative™
From Kanye to Karlie to Karma, somehow Taylor is always the wronged party. At what point do we retire the "snake emoji" just to bring out a mirror?
  3. Dropping Clues Like She's the Da Vinci Code
She can't sneeze without fans thinking it's an anagram for her 16th album. The Easter egg breadcrumb trail is exhausting — not everything needs to be a Taylor Swift ARG.
  4. Rebranding Every 3 Months
Is she a cardigan-wearing cottagecore poet? A snake queen in a diamond bathtub? A glitter-drenched pop cyborg? Pick a lane, miss girl. We're dizzy.
  5. The Faux Feminism™
She'll give you a girlboss anthem but go silent when her billionaire besties are bulldozing worker rights. The feminism feels more performative than empowering.
  6. The Streaming-Warrior Turned Playlist Princess
Remember when she was anti-Spotify for artistic integrity? Now she's releasing 12 versions of the same song for playlist placement. Growth or grift?
  7. Every Ex is a Villain Until the Album Drops
Is it character assassination or lyrical therapy? Either way, it's giving "maybe it is you."
  8. The "Y'all Ready for It?" Instagram Captions
Every cryptic post is treated like the nuclear codes. Sometimes a selfie is just a selfie, babe.
  9. Her Fans Treating Her Like a Supreme Court Justice
Speak now or forever be ratio'd. Try critiquing one of her albums online and watch 14-year-olds dox you like you voted against women's rights.
  10. Weaponizing "Growth" as a Get-Out-of-Criticism Card
"We need to allow her space to evolve!" Sure — but not when that evolution comes with 9 vinyl variants and a deluxe deluxe edition with 30 seconds of extra bridge

I highly recommend some of your try therapy.

At the bare minimum it will get you out of the house.

How am I being "pathetic" when I simply made a list of the things I see insufferable about her from my POV? It's pathetic to consider that everyone automatically likes the same things as you.

Lena Dunham was actively and visibly in her squad. And still is. Literally the first person in the bad blood video. Whole point derailed.

It's so wierd how Taylor can't write songs about her exes but men can and it's fine :clack:
