Do you hold a grudge?

Featured Replies

I typically don't unless I genuinely think someone is a terrible person with no redeeming qualities whatsoever. I feel like when I was younger it was easier to hate people and have nothing for them but now I get over things a lot quicker and acknowledge whether it's worth it or not.ย

  • this sounds kinda corny, but forgiving someone removes the power they have over your emotions. the best revenge is to completely move on

Not really. If someone disrespects me that is a "friend", I just permanently cut the person off and move on. If it's a random I don't care.

Yes, even if just loosely without allowing it to weigh me down or hold a bitterness; I just know to keep them at arm's length. I do hold grudges against restaurants if I become unwell after eating food that makes me unwell. I didn't have iHOP for eight years after such an incident; and I refuse to eat from Huddle House any time soon. I didn't feel right for a week after eating from Huddle House!

I would say I think it depends on the situation. I used to regularly, but now I really just try to protect my peace. And that means not giving them any thought or acknowledgement.ย

Not as much anymore. I try to work through my resentments hihiย :gaycat2:

Yes. To date I still want RCA to burn for not ensuring that Superlove was the song of the decade.

Do I? I feel like I don't, but I feel like if the opportunity to mess with them arises , I will.

Not so much a grudge, but if someone does something bad enough I cut them out and move on with my life. I lose respect for them and without respect there cannot really be a relationship. We're simply not compatible. If it is a family member or coworker where I can't really escape them, I keep my distance and grey rock. I'm not going to keep putting myself in the same situation to get hurt over and over again

Judging from how people on this website can't let go of someone shading their fav one time two decades ago, I'm going to have to say "yes" should be a representative reply to this thread.

I will forgive but never forget.ย  And forgiveness does not mean we are cool, it just means I'm over it.

Yes and i own it. I never forget and if it's needed, i avenge it too. I've been hurt by people enough to know that 99% of the time, people who get second chances will waste them too

Depends on person and situation but if someone apologies even after 5 years I'll forgive them and I have

Only hold one on my ex who totally ruined my social lifeย :oxygen2:

I've got a list of literal names with some in red, underlined.ย
