Went to see her in Brussels last night, and I revisited the album quite a lot in anticipation. I still think it is one of the most arresting works of the year: all tension and architectural soundscapes. She balances on such a dificult line between confessional poet and popstar, and she does it so well. I didn't have much expectations seeing her live as I hadn't seen her before, but she blew me away. The tour perfectly marries all her sensibilities; it is stark but at the same time gives so much.  She had the crowd eating out of her hand too, absolutely fabulous show.

This album still amazes me. 

I hope this gets some End of Year lists love, it is such a solid album

This is my personal album of the year. The songs are still revealing themselves to me, there's still mystery in them left for me to unwrap after months of listening. Such a great record and another classic album for Lorde

It already has appeared on a couple (Time Out and Exclaim! lists were posted here). 
 

I hope she gets some placements from some of the big hitter publications. 
 

Such a solid body of work. Even though I'm not replaying it as I was when it was released I still get immense pleasure from listening when I do.

same. I had a listen yesterday and was surprised by it again, the songs breathe with time

On Barclays night #2 she did a cover of "Crazy", a Seal song, although a lot of people will be more familiar with the version by Alanis Morissette.

The Barclays night #1 show got a great review from Slate.

I think you're right about the likelihood of a deluxe. Despite all her changes in perspective on making and releasing music, it does seem like she still believes in a certain kind of album purity. That being said, she has acknowledged the existence of b-sides for Virgin in a major way.

As for travel, I remember her sticking around NYC pretty late last year, but at least we now know why. The urgency seems more real this time. I think she recognizes that it doesn't fully benefit her to be completely out of the conversation for 4 year cycles regularly. It would be shocking for her to release in 3 years or less, so maybe that's what she's aiming for. Imagine L5 in 2026 😵‍💫

I'd genuinely love a deluxe, since I've enjoyed Virgin so much 👏 I don't see it happening per se, but the whiteboard makes me a little more hopeful than normal?
