Part of me that she really got the last laugh with everyone trying to clown her for Solar Power, but if anything this album makes that one all the more meaningful in her artistry and career

Sometimes I feel like y'all weren't around during Melodrama era... (hint: everyone hated it at first). People only changed their minds once the album got acclaimed.

Babe I been here since The Love Club EP, I listened to Melodrama on Australian VPN before the reviews were out. It sounded shockingly good! As for ATRL acclaim I'm not sure because I wasn't on here at the time. But if you're talking about Green Light and Liability and Perfect Places and Sober as they were being released you might be right, I needed adjusting to the new sound throughout the single rollout so that when the album came, it hit. You can say what you want about people switching when the reviews are out and the album is acclaimed, but if the music is not for me, I just wouldn't want to replay it. And I had Melodrama on repeat for years

 

That being said, I do like Virgin, love the concept+visuals, some songs are really great, but as a whole I do not feel tempted to return to the project, I just really want a Lorde era to feel like a moment again, but maybe I just need to adjust my expectations ?! 

Hopefully the tour will breathe some second live into these songs 🙏
