Women in Music Part III is generally known to be their best album; it has very high highs. Now I'm In It, The Steps, Gasoline, I Know Alone, Summer Girl to name a few. 
 

Days Are Gone is also a very solid album. Probably their most consistent. The Wire, Forever, If I Could Change Your Mind & Don't Save Me are some of the biggest classics on it, but honestly it's a skipless album. 

This performance is incredible. Down to be wrong also sounds so much better within the album

I didn't really connect with the singles much but the album as a body of work...

I think the album is really enjoyable as a whole. They've pushed the dial on rather stripped-down and not necessarily very explosive instrumentals even further than on the previous album. I QUIT feels good, I love its atmosphere. However, I find it a little less impactful than the previous three, which had very strong melodies. Ultimately, I think the best track on the album, in my opinion, remains Down to be wrong. It's closely followed by Take me back, which I also love, the melody is great. But there are some very good tracks on the rest of the album, like All over me, Love you right and Million years (and obviously the first two singles). The three more laid-back tracks are also very well-done: Blood on the street, very bluesy, the same goes for Try to feel my pain, and The farm which I think has a magnificent melody.

 

Lucky stars is very nice, less powerful, but if you like the HAIM touch, you'll easily succumb to it, I think. Four tracks are a bit below par for me: first, Cry and Spinning, pleasant (surprising even for Spinning) but perhaps not very well finished and a bit out of place musically. Then, Gone, where the linearity is particularly noticeable, and Now it's time, whose choice of sounds doesn't grab me. But they come across very well inside the album. We'll see if I become addicted to I QUIT over time, but in any case, it remains my frontrunner for my summer soundtrack.

As expected, this is growing on me considerably. The lyrics hit me really deeply actually.. I think part of my initial dislike was because some of these sentiments were a hard pill to swallow? More thoughtts to come, but reminder to myself to NEVER DOUBT MY SISTERS

This is another amazing record from them, still probably their 3rd best cause WIMPIII and DAG are classics

Million years has been my favorite since the first listen, but it's getting even better with time as I'm still discovering new sounds. The way they start singing the outro before the last chorus ends is godly

I like the album. Better than STTY (which I still like) but not on WIM level, cause it's sounds more safe. Alana's and Este's solos didn't hit me much but All Over Me, The Farm and Blood on the street (what a classic!) did

I finally gave this album a full listen today and I loved it. Million years was a big standout for me BUT I'm going to listen to it again and try to find my top 5. Ooo they didn't miss one bit

Thanks to the people posting the live performance links, I will catch up on some of them later. Do you think there any truth in the rumours of a surprise Glastonbury performance?

They are set to debut at #2 in the UK, based on the midweek projections. Yung Blud is set to be #1. 

I'm trying to think what my top 5 are.. it's amazing how much the first 3 singles  aged and continued growing with me - even pre-release, but especially within the full album.

 

I might have made TMB a bonus track, as it's not really important for the general theme / storyline of the album, but it's not bad enough to totally nix. 

 

I'd have moved some of the tracks around though, as they don't make any narrative sense.. maybe that's the point (end of relationships Are messy and don't follow a linearity sometimes), but still...

 

Spinning is so good. I need them to explore those vibes for H5!

 

Ugh and lastly I wanna refine what I said about the vocals.. Danielle sounds amazing. There are several moments where I'm so stunned by the vocal take they got. She's improved so much, and it's kinda crazy how less polished each album has gotten since DAG, which had that pop sheen coating on it. I can see why they said this is the album they've always wanted to sound like; the instrumental mixing is just perfect, as is the vocal production 

This album definitely gets better and better with more listens! Not their best album, but still a very strong body of work. I'm so excited to see them live in September 

this is great. So much to like on here!! Ugh I LOVE the percussion. But then again I think that's a constantly great aspect of HAIM's music in general.
