i had this on again earlier and it definitely gets better as it goes on. i might end up agreeing with the guy who said it was 4 or 5 songs too long, this might have been a better single album

Still trying to digest the whole album, but each listen is really enjoyable. Perfect time of year to have songs like this.

Yeah... Relationships and Down to Be Wrong are great though

Seems that their odd albums are amazing, while their even albums are kinda mid

I'm still bopping and excited to listen to Gone and Lucky stars live on the tour 

 

I agree though HAIM5 will be a masterpiece, trust, see y'all in 2028 

the singles + lucky stars, farm, take me back and love your fight are my current highlights…. the lack of hooks kind of hurts and so does the tracklist length cos all over me and try to feel my pain could've got scrapped and cry just doesn't go anywhere

ive listened to this in full like four times now and I still can't remember a single thing except Relationships... huge downgrade 

i'm kinda sad to say this, but I'm also not enjoying this that much... I really liked the singles and was ready for a great album, but it's just... forgettable  

I don't think it's bad, it's just underwhelming. I couldn't get myself to listen to it after release like at all. Still love the girls tho.

They didn't grew artistically with this one

i think this is it, there's a lot of songs i like on here so i'm not sure why i'm leaning negative on it but it just doesn't really seem to take them anywhere. also, the second song i really don't like and it's tough to have a big skip early on, throws me off

Album aged like wine for me. Million years, Down to be wrong, Lucky stars, Now it's time, all career HIGHLIGHTS.

Yeah same. I've listened to it in full several times and still can't remember anything apart from like Relationships and Down to be wrong (which are great).

 

Sad cause I loved Women in Music.

Exactly, I want to force myself to listen because HAIM is one of my faves ... but every time I go to I feel like it's an obligation vs. Enjoyable thing I want to do ☠️

Crazy how much people shade this one. STTY got the hate it deserved (mostly, You Never Knew you will always be famous), but I still think this is definitely a step ahead of WIMPIII which I always thought was a bit overrated  Oh well.

my main issue with this album is that the first 5 tracks start the album off strong but everything after that becomes less focused on a unified sound/intention. there's some stands out like ETFMO, lucky stars, million years but it seems more like a collection of songs. I'm pretty sure they've said that this album has been one of their most careless, and it kind of comes through that way. still a good album though, just not great.
