I'd be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed. :noparty:

Maybe it will grow on me. DAG and WIMPIII were so instant for me, but I was not a fan of STTY. This feels more in line with the latter for me.

Absolutely love this. I have a lot of thoughts that I need more listens of the album to process, but I probably would rank it DAG > this > WIMPIII > STTY as I expected. I don't think there are any songs I outright dislike, which helps me put it above WIMPIII (even if that album may have more & higher highs than this so far).

I think the rest of the albums are not as instant as the first 3 singles. But I like that, the album is growing with each listen. Relationships is my SOTY so far

After a few listens this is starting to flow more nicely. I already mentioned All Over Me being a standout track but it's lowkey challenging for top 3 on the album :jonnycat:  Second half is still gonna need some time to marinate though

Gone

All over me

Relationship

the 1-2-3 punch! whew

It's a nice smooth listen but on first impression it lacks the highs of Women in Music. Besides the singles, Lucky stars stands out the most to me.

To me this album is solid actually. Its not as good as WIM but still very decent.

gone is my fav. clicked instantly!

On my first two listens this album bleaks compared to WIMPIII. While that album was firing on all fronts with an exciting and different sound for pretty much every track, I quit offers a lot of songs sounding the same and it feels kind of uneventful. But then again it is a mistake to listen to a new album and instantly compare it to past glory.

There is still a lot of things I like with the album, and I'm pretty sure I will discover many more things and appreciate new songs with each listen. The album feels kind of bloated tho. Still a solid project.

Probably their best since Days Are Gone.  Faves are Gone, All Over Me, Take Me Back, Blood On The Street, and Now It's Time :clap3:

I like it the more I listen to it, definitely some of them are better than others and it feels a bit long but the melodies are starting to stand out a bit now, it benefits from getting used to it

Weren't you dragging the sample just a few posts ago?

This hit so immediately for me. The production is stellar.

Here, after a full listening (maybe I listened to it twice), and wow. I'm so so glad I took the time to listen to this album. This is a full body of work - so good. I'm so happy for having this record to listen throughout the whole year. I can relate to a lot of the lyrics, and maybe that's why it touched me so deeply. I really want to deep dive into Haim's discography. If anyone has recommendations , I would definitely take them.

First listen (before the release I had only listened to Relationships and Down to be wrong) and like most have said, this doesn't reach the highs of cohesiveness of Women In Music, but they sure know how to choose their singles because those are easy standouts!

Overall it's all pretty messy and the first half definitely overshadows the second half and it's pretty long. The production is immaculate though. :emofish:
