ikr... but on the other hand some artists are selling 1 and 2 vinyl for 40... so 4 for 50 isn't that bad, but I'm still mad that she made effort for fearless but not for sacred... although we know who's responsible for that and it's not her...

Does anyone happen to know if the Stolen Versions are available for purchase in lossless digital quality anywhere that isn’t DRM protected? I’m thinking of getting copies so I have them archived somewhere just in case she decides to yank them once the rerecordings are done (I’m fully aware that this is almost guaranteed to not happen but I’m worried about Red lmao)

What if she announces Lover Fest will happen. Then release Cruel Summer as a single to promote the concert 

Maybe she doesn’t plan to release any re-recorded album this year?  That must be it because by this time I think another re-recording should have been released.

I really feel like it’s just that things are being held up by legal nonsense at this point  I don’t even think there’s anything actually stopping her from releasing but she probably just wants stuff to be done and over on the legal side before bothering. I can’t think of anything else that makes sense unless she had an extremely specific schedule in mind and is refusing to move stuff around, like “oh Speak Now has to be released right next to July 9th and self-titled has to be last to make a statement” or something

Why did everybody just randomly decided to sue her? Ugh

 

I honestly hope we can at least get a new re-recording by the start of 2023. I'm worried that this process will take more than 3 years. 

Also, I really want her to release so I can update my Taylor’s Version playlist, my vinyl and CD collection, and to just get on with her actual career tbh  like these are re-recordings, six months between albums was bad enough like what’s taking so ******* long. I’m genuinely starting to get annoyed, all jokes aside. One of the reasons I’m a big fan of hers is because of her connection with us, her fans, but she doesn’t communicate S H I T.

First of all country radio has to be the most misogynistic radio genre there is and 2, I don’t think she is still considered a country artist by the country public, she has fully transitioned into a full blown pop star, maybe that’s why they’re weary of playing her music.

I honestly think they just still hate her for going pop. They were willing to play ball even in the Red era since most of the album was still country, but as soon as 1989 happened they took it as a betrayal. For six years, all they got from her as a genre were a secret writer credit, a feature, and the non-single Soon You’ll Get Better (I personally don’t really count NYD). Here’s a Wikipedia snippet from when Big Machine tried to send NYD to radio:

From what I’ve read, country radio is also a bit of a cliquey, closed-off space. It could be another decade before she’s in their good graces, and that’s assuming that she even keeps country in her albums at all (I personally think the presence of country and country-informed tracks all over Evermore was a sign that she will). 
 

Her country singles from Betty and onward have honestly been surprising to me because it actually seems like she’s trying to make an effort to step back into the genre. IBYTAM was actually her biggest country radio hit since like 2013, I think? As a fan of country Taylor it all makes me very happy, but it’s going to be a very slow process for country radio to come around.

And speaking of country Taylor coming back in recent years, sometimes with a twist, Ivy and Cowboy Like Me being back to back still hits like a truck, and RWYLM is her best song, and Evermore as an album was just…

 

 

If she ever goes with that kind of Evermore-style country/folk/Americana for an entire album in the future I think I’ll hear it once and just ascend to heaven
