Completely different topic but I think Taylor also uses the re-recordings to see how music is consumed these days. She basically has 6 free shots to figure out what works for her and what doesn’t. Fearless, Red and 1989 are already three completely different strategies. I think after Lover, which was like a very traditional album rollout, she realized how much the music landscape changed and she adapted with folklore and evermore. And now she wants to stay ahead so TS10 can be another commercial peak

Sell them all at once but ship them very slowly. Tiny batches that each individually guarantee placement on the chart. Say it’s due to production constraints and her busy schedule with the rerecordings so the stans don’t get salty.
