I have a theory about the mv: Taylor is a dead actress and Dakota is playing a role the dead actress once played / or is playing the dead actress's life in a movie or something (hence the paralleling / mirroring of the two of them). The scene where Dakota is sat facing Collin Ferrell and Taylor just walking up in the middle towards them feels like they dont see her or at least Colin doesnt seen her. It's like Taylor is haunting Dakota and through her is going to get vengeance on Collin or something? idk...I feel like that could tie in the whole showgirl theme in a way?

After the complaint fest that was the showgirl release I'm ready to just enjoy what shes puts out tonight! Hope everyone goes into these deluxe tracks with the same mentality. The hate she'll inevitably get cannot destroy how fun a Taylor release is.

patient zero, hmm. i was hoping for an explosive bridge but it was overly talk-y. i thought it would be more upbeat than midtempo.

i don't not like it, but it doesn't feel like an opening single (even for a rerelease).

Why wasn't pink clouding the single?

pink: sounds more like an opening single than p0. but the bridge is kinda just there

babylon: album track gem. used most of her lyric writing on this song it would appear

the instrumentals are very on point.

Love all 4 songs, my 1st impression is much better compare to Showgirl. Full of melody, bridges, lyrics, very Swiftian, i dont see how long time fans would dislike this.

Omg I snuck to the bathroom to listen to patient zero and it's such a quirkie sounding song. It feels like Anti -hero in a way minus the super catchy bridge of AH! Excited to listen to the other ones! Hopefully on my way back from work

I think you totally misunderstand Taylor Swift and how she operates. The Showgirl deluxe is not surprising AT ALL. It's so Taylor to come back and try to spin the discourse around the album by adding a few nice songs.

And when she emphasized that there would be no new songs, she clearly meant there wouldn't be some surprise 3AM edition or a double album. Not to mention she already said she made ADDITIONAL songs to "celebrate" the album's chart success.

I think you're the one who really needs to stop acting dumb here.
