1. Ruin The Friendship (serving Red realness, love it, love her forever)

2. Opalite (sounds the closest to being a new spin on classic Taylor lyricism and melodies, not perfect due to the "ah ah ah!" bit making it sound like some kind of Christmas carol but very good overall with excellent verses)

3. The Fate of Ophelia (bop, smash for a reason, eminently catchy)

4. The Life of a Showgirl (I don't get why this one doesn't get more praise and I think the drags about the opening lyrics are genuinely some of the dumbest things I've ever read; this has strong melodies and lyrics and uses its feature exceptionally well, Sabrina is perfect here)

5. Wood (I don't care if some of the lyrics are cringe, the melodies and production are excellent and fun, and some of the other lyrics are actually incredible)

6. Honey (overall good, catchy, and lyrically decent, but something feels just a little over-processed in the production - that's not enough to make it bad, but I'd say this is where the album falls below her discography average)

7. Father Figure (some how this gives me Lover era meets Karma but like in a way that works, idk, it's fine)

8. Actually Romantic (gets a few points for actually having attitude and balls in a way that doesn't seem as guarded as usual, but simply isn't my style of music, though I like the melodies; makes me feel weird because it's directed at another of my favorite artists ever lmao)

9. Wi$h Li$t (not much to say; I honestly think it's relatively innocuous, but would be far below average on any other album she's ever made. Would be #2 if it were the acoustic version, though!)

10. CANCELLED! (basically just Reputation but if it were kind of annoying)

11. Eldest Daughter (saved from the pits of hell by the excellent bridge; most of the issues here are the lyrics, too, and the production is actually fine)

12. Elizabeth Taylor (just does not click for me and I don't have a really good explanation, but I think it's something about the Old Hollywood cinematic vibe just not doing it for me; don't love the production approach here)

I'm a swiftie since the Speak Now era (my favs are reputation, Speak Now and folklore) and Showgirl is the first album where I don't skip ANY song.

I almost feel like CBS This Morning is going to announce the world premiere of the "Patient Zero" music video will air Sunday's MTV VMA's. They are broadcasting on CBS this year and MTV would pay Taylor big bucks to premiere it there to boost ratings. Plus, we her receiving the first ever director award and all this campaigning for her music videos lately, it would make perfect sense.

Why suddenly everyone love Debut? I love it and listen to it all the time. i'd even rank it above Fearless. (my 12 rank is Midnights and 11 is Lover. so Debut will probably be number 9 in my ranking). whenever I saw swifties rank albums in the past few years, most of the time Debut is in last place. so suddenly everyone can't wait for debut? it feels like everyone wants the re-records chapter to be closed. not because they care that much for the album.
