God, she's such a great orator, which is something really under appreciated, even among fans. Even for a pop star who has spent so much time on stage in stadiums, delivering a 25 minute personal speech is really challenging and taxing, and I've seen some of her pop star coworkers bomb much less difficult speeches before. I truly believe they're just jealous. I'm sorry, but a girl like Ari or Katy or Rihanna (whose fans are CLOGGING that thread now) is never going to be invited to give a commencement, let alone receive an honorary doctorate, LET ALONE from NYU, one of the most prestigious universities in the US (if not the world)

 

They all thought Taylor was over when they tried to cancel her in 2016, and now that she's so effortlessly curb stomping their faves, they look for any opportunity to lash out

Her eloquence and command over large crowds is what makes her a very good performer. There's a reason that a lot of pop girls never address their audience and simply move along from song to song, while Tay delivers 3 improvised speeches each concert and still having the audience in the palm of her hand, hanging on every word she says. Her public speaking skill is underrated, it's not red hair and tapping ****** dance moves so it goes under the radar.

Taylor knows that the media and clickbait articles would lead with her talking about getting cancelled. She's knows the game. Only if she spoke about Roe vs. Wade would they lead with something else. Honestly I guess I shouldn't be surprised, but I'm disappointed that it still gets to her all these years later and when she's seemingly more popular than ever.
