Tbh I get it, there are several lines that are kinda wtf-worthy, but the whole thing is fairly tongue-in-cheek and extremely self-unserious so it's not too jarring. Or maybe it's just that the jarring is the point.

 

Imo it's worse when songs have lyrics that take you out of the moment but you can tell the lyricist still wants to be taken seriously. Will not be naming names.

This song lives up to its name. YES!

The chorus falls kinda flat for me. Cupid's Girl is my favourite track so far this era

I def agree she was trying to be silly (vs. unintentionally writing terrible lyrics)! But oof, a few of the lines make my skin crawl

 

I like the instrumentals of this era. It's such a shame the vocals and lyrics esp are not doing it for me

The instrumental and "cuntissimo" vocals are really good, you just have to turn your brain off and ignore the lyrics

The lyrics are fine and right in line with the overall mood of the song...

 

... That's what I would have said if "Do people still say YOLO ?" was not a lyric 

"Do people still say YOLO" is for sure the worst line that's gonna come out of this year 

The video is serving Primadonna with a bigger budget and I love her for that.
