I remember a few weeks ago there was some update saying going through people's profiles and mass disliking their stuff is now against the rules and will result in a ban and removal of the ability to use the like feature

 

Does someone @ing multiple others in posts to implicitly encourage them to downvote a person's posts they don't like in an argument or whatever also against the rules? And also just them doing it to kind of 'gang up' on someone and flamebaiting and beyond?

i think syg could work permanently with the addition of two rules (no bodyshaming and no making fun of someone for being a victim of SA/rape)

 

obviously i haven't read every post but from what i've seen they're the only things that crossed a line and were beyond just calling someone a flop or talentless.

 

it's nice to have it as like a music version of random thoughts too

I love the syg flippantly unhinged atmosphere as much as anybody but the default insult for any woman in there is prostitute. Those two changes wouldn't suddenly make it unproblematic as a thread because it's fundamentally misogynistic.

You know what, sometimes you just read something you disagree with and move on. The whole point of SYG / NHB is to push the envelope and say some edgy / controversial things. There's no real need to engage.
