2nd Gen was already doing this and they're irrelevant according to you.

Literally every one of my kpop favs except for red velvet and maybe 2NE1 could do stadiums in latam. Again everybody who goes over there down bigger venues than in other parts of the world, unless they were already in stadiums.

Not this 2nd gen nostalgia propaganda again :toofunny2:

The only Kpop fave you have that could've maybe done stadiums in LATAM are BIGBANG.
And also, none of your Kpop faves will be able to tour on the same scale as SKZ's DominATE tour, and that's okay.

Anyways, I can't wait for the official numbers being published by Touring Data once SKZ's tour finishes, so you can get a reality check.

The only person who needs a reality check is the person who said Demi Lovato can't do stadiums in Brazil

Anyways, I'm not about to waste my energy on someone stuck in nostalgia, clinging to delusional 'what ifs' about what their faves might could've done, while mine are out here actually breaking records and doing what theirs never could.

SKZ makes it look effortless, which is probably why some K-pop stans convince themselves their faves could do the same, as if it's impossible for SKZ to achieve it, instead of just admitting they're one of the top 4 biggest K-pop acts of all time, globally.

Either give SKZ their flowers or keep quiet and move on :celestial2:

Omg this is excellent :jonny5:

So much better than their awful debut song

Wait the song is slowly gaining traction. :jonny2:

Lots of korean comments (not sure if they're bots tho) and the it's their first song to chart around the #800 range in melon daily chart.

Stay pressed. I posted receipts and dropped real information. If you want to choose to ignore it and live in your delusional twink bubble please don't snap back at me with lies and I might let it slide.

The receipts being the real concerts that Demi Lovato did in stadiums in the country that is notoriously easy to book stadiums in.

Here's my 2nd gen nostalgia favs who can't do arenas in europe btw. You literally know NOTHING about kpop which makes your obsession with it tragic. Loud and stupid is the worst kind of stupid.

Edited by Ubermensch

Here's an event in paris from just a couple months ago where the crowd was singing my false memory fav's songs louder than the black pink and BTS members who were booked at the same event, or Katy Perry for that matter

And yet, the things you posted doesn't even come close to what SKZ are doing right now, so I really don't get why you're acting like SKZ's achievements are something your faves could do, or ever did? Like give it up

You're the one who said that kpop acts can't do arenas in europe and specifically that my favs were never able to. You have actually zero clue about the things you're talking about. You're the one who said it's hard to book stadiums in a country so starved for concert tours that they started the biggest music festival in the world to entice a-list artists to perform. The only true things that you have said in this entire exchange is that SKZ is #1 for 4th gen touring currently and that they are on a stadium tour.

Every single other thing you said is delusions of grandeur over an artist that is selling out stadiums and millions of albums but has literally never had one hit single ever. Not one. We really don't give a **** about your payola whale stan driven favs. 2NE1 has more globally recognized songs and they haven't dropped an album since before BTS debuted or ever meaningfully charted anywhere except Korea and The Philippines. There are korean indie songs with more traction than SKZ is able to get with people who aren't attracted to twinks.

I said it was harder for MOST Kpop acts to sell out arenas let alone stadiums in Europe, of course some groups can sell out arenas, but most can't, hence why companies tend to skip Europe most of the time.
And our discussion was about stadiums, where you claimed that your faves could've sold out stadiums in LATAM.

And speaking of Europe, SKZ are the first Kpop act to have full stadium leg in the continent. Like this is SKZ in real life outside of the little bubble y'all live in here:

What's KTRL's consensus on aespa's Spicy era? imo it's my favorite era of theirs the only song of theirs that tops that mini is Illusion

It's hard to decide which is better, Savage or MY World. Truly the two best 4th gen minis. Savage is more unique and catered to whom Aespa is, but MY World is just soooo good. It literally took them from their downward digital trajectory to a global and local streaming force.

Hopefully SM has another era with that level of promo planned at some point. It seems like their strategy is to do their promo-heaviest era in summer (My World, Armageddon) and then a lighter era in November where they just promote the title track.

Let me give you another free lesson that you will deny in order to keep living in blatant delusions: Kpop agencies keep their artists coming back and promoting because they get a much higher cut of album sales and streaming revenue than they do of ticket sales. The only acts who are allowed to go on gigantic tours are either trying to recoup money on sajaegi costs(stray kids, allegedly) OR are so overwhelmingly in demand all over the world that even with the smaller cut for the label, there is still more money to be made for the agency on ticket sales than the boost that promoting and frequently coming back gives to album sales(BTS). If you notice, I am an anti of acts in both categories, there's not a bias here. The only bias here is your cognitive deficiency in absorbing information that goes against what the twitter accounts who are in active contact with JYPE PR(as ALL major stan accounts are for the big 4) tells you is true.

Now, moving on:

Stray Kids has quite literally never posted a single box score in the west because much like the ai crowd shots, everything about their stats screams fraudulent activity, but Twice DID and was pulling just slightly better numbers per night in 2022.

87GYYxh.png

BB was earning the same amount in arenas in the west that any kpop act does today, they were outgrossing Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, and Katy Perry in the same venues(albeit with much fewer tour stops than those artists had in the west, obviously). With the expansion of kpop they could book a stadium anywhere on earth with ease if TOP decided to get over being exposed as a stoner with a shrimp and rejoined the group. It's going to be so hilarious when that happens just like it was when GD effortlessly swept the charts with his cb and IU instantly sold out her world tour last year. The thing about my favs is that they started the western hallyu wave because of talent and music. The demand for that never goes away, they're legends.

And let me get one more thing straight, speaking as a user called ubermensch who has the only tattoo on their body being a G-Dragon related tattoo and even through 4000 cancellations has always maintained that G-Dragon is their #1 all-time kpop fav, if SM wasn't afraid of paying the SNSD members their touring cut and didn't keep them coming back every 6 months for a decade, SNSD could have easily been pulling bigger touring numbers than Big Bang, their fanbase was objectively larger and everything from their performances to their variety appearances was dwarfing the online western engagement BB got at the time, their album sales were much larger too. It's not delusions or what-if's, it's a material fact of the kpop industry that labels shy away from touring which is a risky venture with higher costs and lower returns than album sales.

This fabrication and not you still downplaying SKZ's career when they have surpassed all of your 2nd gen fads

It is also a know fact that musicians makes the most money out of touring :suburban:

Too bad for you that my 2nd gen favs have songs with more streams than your favs who are allegedly the male taylor swift. Imagine being a 4th gen group and being completely ended by a 2015 kpop song. :fan:

The way this was the perfect comeback for her to only end up trending due solely to the Tinashe impact :monkey: idk what happened after 2020; the Ice era was a mess and her Tyla cosplay last year made no waves either. Why does Korea just not see it for her despite the talent? It's the same with Ailee too :gaycat6:

You know who DOES have songs with more streams than this 2015 BB song from before album sales and global streams for kpop more than doubled? BTS, Black Pink, Twice, EXO, Red Velvet, NewJeans, IVE, several soloists from the previously mentioned groups, and even Griddle eventually will at the current daily stream rates with aespa following close behind. Stray Kids are really the joke of the industry.:ahh:
