What are you filling your bestie’s hole with?
Gaga didn't release Born This Way for this

Do you remember Matthew Lush and Nick Laws?
- Why is Britney Spears still so relevant and referenced like she was in 1999?
People you have no affiliation with being asked about you in interviews is the definition of relevancy. Britney is simply still a part of the conversation 10 years into retirement.- Why is Britney Spears still so relevant and referenced like she was in 1999?
Imagine being so in demand that already leaked demos from 25 years ago get 200k streams in a day. ahhhh my ******* fav! Some girls can't do that with actually new music.- Always Remember Us This Way vs Abracadabra
As a member of both stanbases(and a previous member of the third), it was invented by the Beyhive and the first target was actually onika, not gaga. Nobody cared when nicki was the target because there was some truth to her not having much power on her own. It's stupid when we turn this line of thinking onto people with hundreds of millions of record sales and sold out stadium tours though.- KATSEYE's "Gabriela" becomes fastest girl group song to hit 1 billion on Spotify

The references are an extension of her relevancy. It's how Madonna is still the queen of pop after more than 40 years.- Why is Britney Spears still so relevant and referenced like she was in 1999?
In 1999 there was a frenzy for record labels to debut their own Britney Spears, even raiding her friend group and previous coworkers to look for imitations. Here we are nearly 30 years later and the current crop of pop girls is just as obsessed with her, why do you think that is?- Why's Xtina so beautiful and skinny like she was in 1999?

- Christina Aguilera has a blast dancing to Britney Spears
- Always Remember Us This Way vs Abracadabra
Now why are we feeding into the solo hit delusion in 2026? The biggest culprits for this mess are the fans of the woman who debuted in a group, then released her first "solo" as a ft on a Jay-Z song, then featured Jay-Z on her very next single, went 8 years between #1s(with Gaga and Ed Sheeran), and has album credits that look like a novel. Let's leave this delusion in 2024 and celebrate womens' contributions to their own careers. It can be turned on to anybody. Billboard doesn't track solo songs separately from collabs and if it did, no pop girls would be on the solo chart because they have producers and co-writers.
