she just needs to keep releasing albums full of bops. hire a better a&r team cause alter ego had potential but failed miserably. she needs to plagiarize eusexua and brat's sound/aesthetic, add a little tinashé company/needs/ride of your life typa songs, those type of dancey and hyperpop music that doesnt need much vocals, make sure to dance on mvs, look even more expensive and she'll find her audience. atp she just needs to keep releasing and building a loyal fanbase

 

I love alter ego but would've been such a strong 10 track album

This would eat but the problem is that b-list(in the west no solo idol is a-list yet, this was an RCA album, its not shade, etc) pop girl albums are usually filled out by demos passed up by bigger artists OR are songs made for the artist by lower demand writers and producers. It's obvious which route Lisa and her team opted for here. Born Again was a Raye scrap, Tove Lo having backing vocals all over New Woman means it was probably a scrap from her as well, etc. It's extremely unlikely that RCA spent the millions of dollars for original ILYA/Max Martin tracks(the last time Max's fee leaked was in 2012 and it was already over $100k for just him alone back then) so there's another half of the tracklist too. There's not a lot of room for a super strong sense of direction if you aren't either top of the a-list or able to make the songs yourself.

 

Lisa and her team aren't stupid, they're the best in the business, they were just doing the best they could with the resources they have.

the RV girls have not missed ONCE with their solo debuts/comebacks  

all have been 10/10 releases for me

How is Like JENNIE getting all the flowers? It sounds like an NCT song. There are so many better songs on the album
