JO1 are an 11 member permanent group formed on produce 101 Japan season 1. Unlike their Korean counterparts, produce 101 Japan doesn't scout trainees or idols under contract thus not making them short temporary groups.

 

JO1 debuted in 2020 during the start of the pandemic. But still managed to become one of japans top boy groups and break the glass ceiling set for traditional boy groups by Johnny's ent. They're leading the new generation of Japanese idol groups to come out of Japan.

They've performed multiple times on Korean music shows

They just wrapped up their US leg of their world tour and are headed for china and Korea next before finishing off their tour in the Tokyo dome next month.

 

Anticipate their upcoming single 'Be Classic' out 3/25 and their 5th anniversary best album out 4/2

 

 

The fact that they labeled it as "Digital Single" and yet it's basically a digital mini album
