The genre has been going downhill ever since it (fully) crossed the US border.

 

This being said, what's going on in America right now is genuinely both sad and alarming as it represents the complete downfall of the culture (most of) the planet has been shaped over the past 50 years.

I do wonder if the whole situation will make K-Pop companies start to implement elements that could appeal Europeans and other sides of the world more in the future.

In that case, I could see a shift to dance music for the next generation.

that was years ago and I dont even go there anymore besides calling yeri "ugly" is not the same as saying karina is "fap" material and lisa is "using his bf to gain industry access"

while I agree about the political aspect of the world right now but mainstream music is actually being exciting again, you have Gaga doing and smashing what she does best, Sabrina, Chapel, you also have the BP girlies etc. but for some reason we're stuck with toddlers doing whisper pop that targets hannams. The eventual downfall of the industry is sooner than we think

Idk about 2015 but she didn't take as active of a role in writing Lilac or The Winning. That golden IU pen needs to grace the industry again.

I don't disagree that Korea is misogynist but GD literally only smoked a joint once in 2010 and was falsely accused of it again years later.

 

He was literally the first person to publicly call out seungri and did it frequently, including in hit songs.

the way I had my first WP for calling their faves talentless but I already get called some of the nastiest names here for only being upfront about it
