For the record, retaliatory contract termination is illegal. This will go to court.

Since they all decided to come back, this is their last resort of breaking up the group, lowering brand value, and trying to switch disgruntled fans over to their copy group.

Legal and Cultural Backlash

Legal professionals warn: "HYBE's selective punishment could be adopted by courts as decisive evidence that HYBE lacks any genuine intent to restore trust when determining responsibility for the breakdown of the trust relationship."

The cultural and entertainment sectors are equally critical. One cultural industry insider stated:

"Reviving Hanni and Minji while punishing Danielle is a classic 'divide and rule' strategy that dismantles the NewJeans collective and serves only the managerial goal of 'erasing Min Hee-jin.' This retaliatory administration—treating artists as strategic consumables—risks triggering a moral collapse across the entire K-pop industry."

The source continued: "HYBE may claim it is 'protecting the system' by dividing the members. In reality, it is closer to a hostage situation, leveraging artists' livelihoods to force silence from those who remain while imprinting an image of endless legal warfare onto the public."

It also just goes to show how powerful these SK conglomerates are, and how the court is essentially in their pocket. Employees can take them to court, waste their time and money, lose the case, and the employer can immediately cancel the contract with zero repercussions.

Also, I don't really even get the point? This seems like a boon for Dani, who'll easily find another label if she wants to. I think we're mostly surprised that Hybe didn't go after Hanni. And how does this benefit NJ? I'm sure there will be huge interest in their initial return, but eventually they'll receive the Riize treatment. Just seems like a waste of money on Hybe's part simply to feed a soon-to-be-jailed CEO's ego.

Bang PD and whoever is in charge at BELIFT kept Hanni to torture her personally, I just know it.

And Hybe doesn't think this is retaliation or a total breach of trust toofunny3 Kinda giving Chuu/BBC Déjà vu. The sad part is people are on to them this time with all the heat on them currently , so they aren't fooling anyone with these messy diversion tactics

I'm reading that since they don't have any evidence against MHJ apart from kakaotalks, this will be their "evidence" of tampering for the final ruling. They are likely getting legal advice from Bang's crooked legal connections for how they can win and forego paying the out option. Danielle and her family were probably the most adamant in their discussions, so they are going to make her the scapegoat to scare Minji and the others into submission.

I just don't get how they can lie their way into making this retaliation seem legally sound in court.

Anyone who comes in here in the future defending this mafia conglomerate, or trying to victimize their groups that benefit from this is morally reprehensible period.

@Antunes youre clearly an NJ anti and always taking jabs at them, I hope the public drags your favs to filth

Came here to say New Jeans is truly over now only to see the thread title had already changed stare

f*ck hybe, i hope the worst of diseases catches that ugly pig F*g Si Hyuk and idk why but i'm happy at least Dani got out

This is just going to lead to more lawsuits and HYBE is going to use it as an excuse for why the group isn't active. And the BTS femcels will eat up every word if it's fed to them in the comments on a tiktok

nothing else to say except **** hybe **** lsrf **** illit **** bts **** txt **** katseye **** cortis **** bang **** hybe's fans

doing all that but at the end of the day a certain group remains a plagiarized flop, while a certain other group remain talentless frauds sabrina

HYBE is truly something else. Making the original big 3 companies look like angels at this point. redface

a capital mess but it is what it is. I hope all the girls are well and safe, and I wish nothing but the worst for HYBE.

Apparently they are also suing Danielle for breach of contract?

A girl can't run in a marathon?

See that's how you can tell Hybe is run by ugly miserable fats. Jealous of a girl exercising

You know, I was really on board with BTS's success at first, but what Bang PD did with it...Hybe has really become a plague on an already problematic industry. Turned it straight up into the abyss.

The only Hybe group I like is Katseye and the seeds of their destruction has already been planted by Hybe's incompetence, bigotry, greed and corruption.

I can't understand any tokki that would want Danielle's contract to be reinstate. They should be jumping for joy that girl is finally free.

I feel physical disgust towards HYBE. Danielle, just come home to Australia and live a normal life sis. They dont deserve you.

If Min Heejin were a man, none of this would've happened.
