This is her most sleek expression of teenage angst/growing pains with such an interesting suburban feel, that breakdown in the middle is killer. A shame that Pure Heroine (Expanded Edition) with this included in the tracklist is no longer on streaming and it's treated as an orphaned droplet now, it perfectly encapsulates the era.

it's soooo good but it's extremely hard to choose a best song from her for me, i mean there are also Ribs & The Louvre & Green Light & Oceanic Feeling & more so idk what to call her best

She just organized her discography so it doesn't look messy & put them in their original place, they're all on streaming actually

The songs from extended PH:

Swingin Party:

No Better:

I remember being really disappointed when she put No Better on the extended version instead of Good Fights

OT: This is not Ribs or Buzzcut Season

Ribs

Buzzcut Season

Perfect Places

Green Light

Mood Ring

Yellow Flicker Beat

Glory and Gore

Yes if there weren't another 20 songs ahead of it

No, it's Yellow Slicker Beast

There's smth about A World Alone that just gets better everytime I listen to it, it was the sleeper hit off of Pure Heroine imo

Also,

Ribs

Bravado

Homemade Dynamite

Perfect Places

My favorite Lorde song is "Liability"  I always go back to it.

I'm great!  I just love the song, especially the lyrics:

"I do my best to meet her demands

play at romance, we slow dance In the living room

but all that a stranger would see Is one girl swaying alone, stroking her cheek"

perfect places, sober and hard feelings exist so

It's a great song, but it's not even in her top 5.  This is her top 5:

1. Buzzcut Season

2. Bravado

3. Supercut

4. The Louvre

5. Liability

Not even in her top 10, but still a very good song

this isn't hard feelings

I hate that she did that, I fail to see how this isn't messy cause now I have 3 diff albums on my library when it all used to be on a cute expanded edition.

OT No, it's Sober or California

everyone listing different songs

Nothing tops Godliability I fear, despite the amount of masterpieces she has released in her career

I came in here exactly for this song.

The structure is so refreshing, the thumping verse, the production.

This was the hit that got away. And for years this wasn't on Spotify, so weird she paid it dust.

From the Pure Heroine era alone there is Buzzcut Season, Ribs and A World Alone, so no.

I think it might have been released as some sort of iTunes exclusive or something like that, but I'm sure those exclusives don't last forever.

She sometimes decides songs don't belong on an album, mostly due to sonic or thematic differences, when compared to other tracks. Most likely "Hold no Grudge" didn't make the standard release of Solar Power for similar reasons.

The Flume remix of "Tennis Court" was another one missing from Spotify streaming for years.

Weird way to spell Ribs

I still have access to it though

OT: my personal favorite would have to either be Ribs, Writer in the Dark or Supercut

I've come to recognize it's Oceanic Feeling
