Before Elon, pedaling NFTs, and liking white supremacist posts on Twitter, Grimes was on the cutting edge of music. Which is the more game-changing and superior body of work between her two cult-classic albums?

art angels sweetie... cute next to gorgeous...

visions has some great songs (genesis, oblivion, be a body, skin) but the gaise need to stop pretending like it's a masterpiece...

Visions was THAT girl but Art Angels has the bops that i still enjoy.

Art Angels ofc, we don't have to lie anymore that Visions has much to offer outside of few highlights

She is one of the most talented artists alive, why did you censor her name like that? Also talking about Elon in a thread about her, while Elon literally kidnapped her children? Could've just made a normal album poll thread. So disrespectful and misogynistic...

ArtAngels for me but Visions has some of her best songs like Oblivion, Visiting Statue and Be a Body

it's art angels, i like visions but i think it got an outsized reputation because it's the kind of pop album that it was alright to like if you were a pitchfork bro, whereas some of the short songs were a bit lame and the extent of the babyvoice could be wearying. i'm not actually that big on the visions singles, they're ok but it's strongest songs are mainly after that imo

whereas art angels is basically an album of dancebop bangers, goes hard and fun, no furrowed brow required. butterfly, pin, kill vs maim are three of my faves of the whole 10s

Visions

Art Angels, one of the best albums of all time.

Art Angels

Sometimes I skip Scream and Easily, but the other songs are all so insanely good! I think World Princess Part 2 is my fav Grimes song.

Visions has more skips for me.

Art Angels is great but I've always liked Visions better, sorry not sorry.

Visions has Skin, so.

Art Angels is trash and I wish people would stop lying about it.

Visions is cute and has two of the greatest songs of my misspent high school tumblr years on it (Oblivion and Be a Body), but Art Angels is THAT girl

I mean tracks 2-6 alone demolish the rest of her discography

Both masterpieces but Art Angles is just THAT good

Fart Angels is SO overrated omg

Visions outsells easily  few albums in the history of music are THAT good

Visions, sweetie.

art angels is a masterpiece

I prefer the darker sound on Visions. It also feels more cohesive.

Art Angels is great but Visions is the OG Grimes masterpiece. Truly visionary and the diy approach was so fresh.

That said Realiti (demo) and Flesh Without Blood is lowkey better than anything on Visions.

Both are amazing, but Visions wins in the end for me. Perfection from front to back. Circumambient, Genesis, Be a Body, Vowels = space and time…

Miss Anthro

Visions has night music and ambrosia

I think the answer is clear

I feel like most people prefer the album that they first heard of Grimes more than the other. That's the case with me at least. I like Visions more but they're both super strong records and I really only like Visions just a hair more than Art Angels.

They're both excellent, but I like the lighter vibes of Art Angels
