Anyway, just about 3 more hours left for me. I'm VERY excited  I feel like CRUSH is gonna be my favorite song but we'll see.

Also, HAS A HEART is so so so damn cute and catchy! I might buy the exclusive CD just for this song alone!

I like the album, it's very fresh and cohesive.

Her vocals are good and I appreciate that every track is different.

 

who gets here to scream that the album sucks, that's just because they are very prejudiced.

Specially since the album isn't even out but somehow they took the time to download it illegally  like you would never catch me doing something like that for an artist I have no interest in listening to

A few thoughts on my first few listens (won't comment much on the lyrics)

 

Woman's World: 5/10 The production is somehow not the worst thing on this song, it's the melody in the verses... After a couple of listens they are listenable but the chorus elevates it so much more, however it's too short and ends too abruptly.

 

Gimme Gimme: 3/10 Maybe it will grow on me but I wasn't a fan of it since she teased it. Feature is weak and chorus is kinda annoying? The beat is mid but it reminds me of a ringtone which I don't know is a good or bad thing yet. I see the vision but only little potential.

 

Gorgeous: 3/10 The song is pretending there is a lot happening but there is not. The chorus is a little catchy and Kims contribution is welcomed but doesn't add too much.

 

I'm His, He's Mine: 8/10  It's a really fun song and very catchy. Probably the one with most hit potential. The sample is fun, they could've done a little more with it but honestly I think it's fine. Doechii parts are really enjoyable, I love how she switches up her voice/attidute.

 

Crush: 9/10 Oh after second listen this is already becoming one of my favorites. The chorus is very catchy and the production is great as well. It's giving CGYOOMH by Kylie a little

It's a little short that's why only 9/10 :(

 

Lifetimes: 9/10 Also too short but I just love the melodies and the beat. Very simple but works for me. Reminds me a lot of old Katy kind of but maybe because of the music video only

 

All The Love: 6/10 Cute lyrics, the production is also enjoyable. It's giving a little of Geomtry Dash and I love that game . Chorus melodies feels kinda wasted, her vocals sound too compressed, but the verses are cool.

 

Nirvana: 8/10 Not me getting jumpscared every time the song starts  Honestly when the first drop leaked I was a little disappointed but knowing what Im getting into I actually enjoyed it. Sounds like something you could hear at the gym. The chorus is just heavenly, however the drops are kinda poor executed. The production is kinda moving fast it just wants me to move as well.

 

Artificial: 7/10  It's definitely a weird song but I vibe with it. JID's part is sick, it goes well with the production, which is for what it's trying to be a little bland. Katy's hook is selling the song but sounds a little undercooked.

 

Truth: 6/10 Random ahh song to be honest. Sounds too monotone and boring to be honest. Katy's vocal deliver nothing really. The melodies are selling the song for me.

 

Wonder: 8/10 A very cute closing moment for the album. The production here is one of the best one the album. Feels very 2016 tho... I love how she sang little daisy in it  Her vocals generally sound very pleasing on this song. Thank god she served us a bridge in this song (even tho it ended after it by little Daisy herself)

 

First I want to clarify that I am disappointed that after all that was happening she willingly ran back to Luke. That's very ignorant and stupid of her. I can only phantom what she hoped to come up with but the finished product is just scratching of all the potential that was wasted here. SO MANY great melodies wasted in monotone and uninspired production that could've been so much more. Katy had a very few cute vocal moments here however she just sounds so basic on most song, however that doesn't bother me much.

I was looking for bops and there are definitely some in here, even though I have to let them grow on me.

the album flows pretty well. good sequencing and transitions.

 

everything goes great until CRUSH and then it starts to fall apart. so many bland faceless songs that i'd hear in a zara (crush, all the love, truth, wonder).

 

that being said i do like some songs on here. gorgeous is a bop and artificial too.
