I'm tired of the hate train against Katy. Why do people keep picking on her? It's so unfair....... Even though her so-called friends drove her into becoming a rape victim and gossiped about her b

I loved this album! The only tracks I don't love on initial listen were "Truth" and "Wonder". Top 3 are: Gorgeous, All The Love and Artificial. Gimme Gimme feels flat though. There is something missing in the beat, it needed an explosive last chorus. Plus 21 Savage's verse felt lazy.

i would have picked Lifetimes or Wonder as the lead single. i think they have the best chance of baiting Europe but would probably still flop.

i enjoyed All The Love but it's still kind of a weak song

1. All the love

2. Nirvana

3. Lifetimes

cute honorable mentions:

Crush

Wonder

I wanted to like Gimme Gimme, but it goes nowhere :jonny2:

A very mid pop album. Clearly better than woman's world and lifetimes. I don't get what made them think woman's world would be a better lead than nirvana, artificial, truth, all the love… these all would've been a great start.

other than that, it's quite forgettable, I can't say anything stands out but the whole project (apart from woman's world) has more cohesiveness than smile and witness. Wasted potential!

As a katycat I'm just sad that this album is such a cash grab. I guess the actual reason why she returned to Dr. **** was the friendship discount

I know why she's getting hate and i do understand it. But honestly, Katy for me meant so much to me during Teenage Dream as a young gay guy. I will forever love her.

This album, for me, gives me everything i've ever wanted and needed from a Katy album. Her voice sounds great, the songs are so dancey and fun - yes albeit a little surface level. I just love Katy and everything she's done for pop and 'Crush' is immediately up there with her best for me!

Gimmie gimmie is cute, kinda monotous and horrible lyrics but I'd listen again for fun 5/10

Gorgeous felt weird. It's like someone build the chorus and someone else the verses then put them together. Wasn't really impressive 2/10

Crush I can't believe I liked it but she ****** up most of the songs by starting with the chorus, STOP IT. It makes the song anticlimactic like it goes nowhere. Maybe it's the beat but yeah I **** with this one the drop right before the chorus goes off should've been bigger 8/10

All the love. The first song that gave me old Katy vibes and unsurprisingly one of the few that follows the usual structure (shocker) 8/10

Nirvana. Huge let down wtf have they done to my girl it's like they chopped the song in some parts but I like the beat 4/10

Artificial. It's ain't I guess like it's a song that exists but it's just there. 5/10

Truth. Another song that feels completely different from the rest. Not very impressive but better than trash like WW. 6/10

Wonder. A song that at least feels like it goes somewhere because she followed the usual song structure with a punchy chorus. 7/10

WW 1/10

Lifetime 4/10

I'm his his mine 2/10 (Edit after listening to this monstrosity again I will give it a 2)

Overall 4.7/10. A lot of skips, missing bridges and sounds that go nowhere.

Exactly, they will never beat the losers allegations.
Bunch of miserable people, you will see them hating in EVERY Katy thread, they already have a bias opinion.

Its a pop artist album release

Its not that different from the katycats running to make a "shaky" start thread for DWAS or the "bad" review thread for Joker 2 the 3 minutes after they got released

Its a bad album, that's It

This is already better than some of the attempts in 2024

its an album release by a major popstar (atleast used to be) and its flopping harder than any pop album in history

and this is a pop music forum so idk what you katycats are expecting :skull:

It's hilarious how most of them have been on here for years and are feigning shock & awe that even non-stans are listening to the album as if ATRLers don't do that for every single pop star. Like you're just mad that she's getting dragged :lmao:

OT: Album should be out tonight

I finished listening to the album. I enjoyed Wonder the most. Is it Daisy singing at the end? It's cute.

I will say that this album is a huge improvement over Smile, and there are several tracks worth keeping.

It's a shame she chose this producer, all of these songs are generic enough that literally anyone could have crafted them. His sound is not unique, he brings nothing to the table that's worth this PR mess. This could've been a successful era, and a return-to-form

what's this trend of pop girls putting their kids on their albums with so much autotune it makes Paris Hilton's self titled album from 2006 sound like a Whitney Houston unplugged

Daisy on Wonder is giving Shakira's kids on Acróstico a run for their money

Imagine dragging a 4 y/o kid. Disgusting behavious.

This album is just… not good… however better song choices than Woman World's as first single, where are the bonus tracks? There must be something special there!!!

I'm in disbelief... I had 0 expectations for this album and it was still worse than I could ever imagine... might legitimately be the worst album I've heard :ace:

Well I am excited for my first proper listen tomorrow!! I'm going to Target to buy the CD with "HAS A HEART" so I can have my first listen with the booklet in-hand and lyrics directly in front of me.

Speaking of which, are there any booklet pics yet? Is the aesthetic a serve?

why does every song start with the chorus or a faint version of it :deadbanana: i guess she needed an excuse to avoid bridges

what? where exactly am I dragging the child? If you had any reading comprehension you'd understand I'm dragging their parent's awful decision to have their cute singign turned into a robot for aesthetical purposes. When the actual HEART of the song wouldve been a kid carelessly singing along instead of being made to sound pitch perfect artificially but what do I know I'm not a popstar releasing a plastic lifeless song dedicated to my only child :deadbanana4:
