Why did Mayhem have such poor longevity on Billboard?
jokes aside, pop girls can only hope and strive to be where Gaga is 20 years later since her debut. not sure why y'all are so stuck on "weeks on charts" "daily streams" or "solo number ones" when it comes to pop girls that HAVE BEEN THERE AND DONE ALL OF THAT! For someone that's been around for so long, hundreds of weeks on charts are irrelevant, the true longevity is equal to their relevance in the industry and you'd be pretty much an idiot to say that Gaga is not relevant. Some of y'all have really problematic behaviours lol

Why did Mayhem have such poor longevity on Billboard?
well thank god 20 years into her career she has managed to have a hit album, gross +400m with the world tour and continues to get big smash hits remaining relevant. If Gaga was so irrelevant and had "poor longevity" it would mean you wouldn't have written anything about her, but it shows that after 20 years she's still on your mind so… that is quite some longevity

Taylor's artist-director award was an "external" idea
But don't they do this every year any way? this is just as pathetic as katy winning that award for the most iconic vmas performance or whatever vmas at this point are a joke and should be cancelled, it just doesn't work any more.

ADÉLA - 'PRIMA'
I could see this era ending up big with 4 hits in the basket (im the man and boys) for obvious reasons. i would milk this momentum with releasing an extension in Oct/Nov next year called PRIMA DONNA then a massive arena world tour. you go girl

Taylor Swift - 'The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore'
Honestly, I just wish she gave Reputation another turn, I really enjoyed that record and she was heading in the right direction of taking risks. But of course because it didn't reach the level of 1989 and even Lover ended up having more highs, she completely ditched the direction. musically she is stuck. She's been so focused chasing success, grammys and acclaim, it feels like all she does is create and recreate what works best for her. The life of a showgirl must be one of the biggest disappointments in the music history.

Has US ran out of pop girls?
Their prime eras were in 00s. I'm not talking about their theoretical debut. You'd say Sabrina is a 10s girl but her prime just recently happened.

Has US ran out of pop girls?
00s didn't have what? Beyonce, Shakira, Nelly Furtado, Ciara, Gaga, Rihanna, Miley Cyrus, Pink, Xtina, Avril Lavigne, Taylor Swift.. the list goes on

Has US ran out of pop girls?
For (so far) a 19 dates tour? You do you
-
Has US ran out of pop girls?
But most of them are MIA and not making any waves. They don't have the same hunger. KGB video is arguably the most daring video a pop girl has released in YEARS!
-
Has US ran out of pop girls?
That doesn't take away their roots which by the way they are very much part of their images.

Has US ran out of pop girls?
Isn't she on tour selling out arenas?

Has US ran out of pop girls?
While a decade ago we would have said the US is the machine making for pop girls, in the last years it feels Americans don't have the same hunger any more, they all became so boring. In 2026 we have pop girls like Charli, Zara and Adela making waves and more hungry for success than anyone has been since 2014 Ariana Grande days. Is it safe to say the US ran out of options and truly the baddest b!tches ain't in LA any more?
