Both are considered our Gen Z pop girls, with SZA being from the R&B Gen Z crowd and Dua obviously with the Pop crowd. Both have huge debuts followed by even bigger sophomores. Dua is embarking on her third era, while SZA’s releasing a reissue of SOS, so it can be considered a 2 and a half era. With the gargantuan success streak of SZA, has she surpassed Dua Lipa in hits, numbers, celebrity, etc.?

Nah. Aside from bops Dua is considered super hot by the straights so she has an extra crowd right there.

In the US yes absolutely but Dua has a

massive edge in Europe and Latin America

Id say that same. I think CTRL was a huge but Dua had so many hits had this thread been made early 2023 I would have said Dua but with SOS, the Grammys, the longevity. Solana is here to stay and not only that she has built a following. She lies but ha music is genuine lol so yeah

But sza’s rise has been meteoric, and there’s only 9B between them on Spotify. If Lana smashes and DL3 tanks then yeah.

SZA has secured a lifelong legacy by releasing authentic music… you cannot compare where you don’t compete

Dua has certain stats that are more impressive but i think that in 10 years time, SZA will have won the war. i see her having a fanbase that is emotionally invested in her music and who will always support her projects in a major way no matter what. Dua is the type of artist that needs the right song to connect in a big way, but i think SZA is getting to a point where her music will connect with a large fanbase regardless, like Taylor, Lana, Drake, etc.

I would say they're about equal here in the U.S. 

 

This site seems to have a weird obsession with knocking Dua though.. 

Dua is far more global and has more hits and bigger hits. FN Tour also had a huge gross and even though SZA's tour is doing amazing, 90% of the shows are in the US

Pretty much this. In the US, Sza is obviously bigger. But I'm in Mexico and it is way, way more common listening to Dua playing everywhere than Sza

My 49 year old Mexican American dad is in love with SZA. She’s definitely hot to straight men. Dua is gay men’s idea of hot, SZA is real men’s idea of hot.
