The US knew beforehand that 9/11 was happening in some capacity and used it as a justification to increase their military budget and to destabilize the Middle East

Most conspiracy theories are coping mechanisms for the human brain or an attempt to conceptualize a nuanced event, particularly a large-scale disaster.

That said - I don't think Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone.

I mean I believe most of the ones were powerful people are doing sketchy things to get millions. As the 9/11 one that was mentioned here or how china was financing the wars in africa in the 2000s to gain power in the region and force people to migrate to europe destabilizing their economy and society.

But these ones are crazy

Conspiracy theories stopped being fun and entertaining when they became more and more unapologetically sexist, homophobic, transphobic, etc.

And also the ones questioning science, facts and literally reality

Here's mine:

TICKETMASTER ARE THE RE-SELLERS. It is a pyramid scheme!

Birds are not real! Also Covid-19 was a myth made up by the CIA to keep us inside while they did a software update on the birds.

Most science = theories and not 100% concrete

Sorry OP no shade to you, but the "NASA is hiding the fact that the universe is filled with water" conspiracy is frighteningly stupid :rip: So because NASA trains astronauts underwater to mimic gravitational conditions in space they think it's all just water? Or because certain pictures of the universe look vaguely like water we can assume that's what it's primarily made of? The Herculean level of mental gymnastics :deadbanana2:

This is my problem with conspiracy theories - the human brain is amazing at finding patterns in mundane things and these conspiracy theorists hyper fixate on some weird idea that is more reasonably explained a thousand other ways. Never mind the INSANE level of coverup required for hundreds of thousands of scientists from a vast array of disciplines in different countries to be aware of space being water and then hide it for.... what reason exactly? What would an organizational body like NASA have to gain by hiding this from the general public?

Epstein did not kill himself

I genuinely believe he's still alive lol

And that quote she mentions of Albert Einstein saying space is water - a few minutes of googling and I could find no evidence he said this ever and the only websites that mentioned it at all were QAnon-adjacent, malware-infested cesspools that I certainly couldn't spend more than 30 seconds on for fear of infecting my computer with something sinister. :rip:

Of the conspiracy theories I've been exposed to there are a small, small handful that might be plausible. The rest are idiotic and prey on the reader being uneducated, uninformed, and gullible.

I used to be perchedT on that thread and those Glamazon posts :jonnycat:

Madeline McCann was kidnapped by pdfs. I would like in my lifetime like to find out what really happened to her, because I don't believe her parents killed her. They would not waste huge amounts of public money and keep up the charade if they were guilty and had accidentally killed her.

I believe in that pizza gate one especially after all the Epstein stuff

this.

I love a good conspiracy theory but my god people are really just ******* stupid a lot of times

Conspiracy theories used to be more fun and interesting but damn after Trump and all stuff added I lost interest. one thing I'm still gonna believe is Lee Harvey Oswald did not act alone and the magic bullet theory or whatever that thing called its a bs.

Also, the dead internet theory I believe it too when it comes to Twitter. twitter is just only a part but you can see the replies under tweets and even some tweets. bots. I wonder how many people on Twitter fight with bots.

:bibliahh:

i look back on my younger days on here and whew, the brainrot from my time in the popstar conspiracy threads :bibliahh: but i think the elephant in the room was banned no?
