I revisited the album earlier and a lot of the songs grew. It's actually a solid album.

 

Was ATRL wrong about Scarlet?

I  liked two or three songs, sorry :(. 

as a whole its solid and i appreciate her switching it up compared to her previous projects.
 

my favorite tracks: 97, Shutcho, Agora, Cant Wait and Skulls.

 

I usually love disagreeing with ATRyell, but this album was just boring. I like Doja, but her life story isn’t interesting enough for rap heavy album. Her west coast acid girl style of pop/rnb/hip hop felt unique to her and something different. Scarlet sounds like Tink or some other irrelevant “conscious” female rapper 

Yes, the album has always been amazing. More people will see the light soon.

 

I wanted to like this album, but I found a large portion of it underwhelming. 

It's an enjoyable album but it's not a solid one, IMO. These are all throwaway songs you can find from plenty of smaller acts, it's not at her level.

Demons is a really good song and I wish the rest of the album sounded more like that, distorted and chaotic and eerie. 

Bad album remains bad 

The production is just awful. Most tracks serve rolyalty royalty free youtube hiphop beats.

I really tried and wanted to like it, but the only songs that ended up in my playlist are the first three tracks, Agora Hills and 97. 

i still use about half of the songs on the album

 

this is her Rated R moment. People will come around in a few years

 

It’s a cute album with some gems (Agora Hills, Skull & Bones, Can’t Wait). Too much filler.

If the album was full of PTTRs it would’ve been good

The album is cohesive but as whole it’s just underwhelming for Doja’s standard. Like PP2 is a weak album but most of the tracks are good. While I liked 3 tracks for scarlet the fact I love most of her songs I was disappointed. I’m glad she’s working on her next album.

This is her weakest album but by no means is a bad one, underwhelming? sure, but not bad.

I wanna like this album but the lyrics are just not good. And for a rap album that's the whole pie.
