Yes I know 25 sold more but 1989 is more remembered and had more impact in the long term. Which one is the bigger era?

  • But she did. It's called 30.

  • 25. It sold 2xmore in pure sales than 1989 + 1989 TV combined and Hello is bigger than any TS song.

The difference is that Anti will never come close to catching up to 25's total units, while 1989 already surpassed it.ย  ย  1989:ย 33,126,000 (gets 28,730 daily units) 25:ย 32,167,000 (gets

25 is kinda forgotten after the holiday

and then 30 is completely forgotten after the holiday

Adele is the new Christmas queen I fear

1989 by light years, the fact that that it will outsell it eventually also speaks volumes.ย

25 was big but it has nothing else except sales. Taylor was everywhere, she had videos, successful singles, a tour. So 1989.

'25' had the bigger initial run, but the insane longevity of '1989' is what ultimately puts it ahead.

25 lasted 10 weeks. 1989 was smashing for one and a half years on its initial run and the reboot is looking to extend its run much further.ย

If Adele re-release 25 would people care?????

But she did. It's called 30.

1989's sheer longevity alone is enough to put it above 25. Add to that more hit singles, better streams and bigger tour. The videos were events. The re-recording debuted even higher than the original...

ย

25's debut will always be legendary though.ย

25.

ย

It had the first week sales that would be on history books forever.

ย

Not to mention it had a lead single which is the only million seller (in a week) during the digital era.ย

The fact that 1989 will have higher total consumption in the end is very telling for its longevity. Its recurrent stats are also much stronger, even before Taylor's Version. ย

25 outsold it nearly everywhere without the kind of extensive and intense promo 1989 had so I'm inclined to say 25, although 1989, undoubtedly, is also a huge era. 1989 had bigger singles overall. But selling over 20M pure post-2015 is a tremendous feat that no one saw coming and will never be seen again probably.

This is the realityย

1989 is the more successful Era. 25 is the more successful album. Though I wonder had Adele tour with 25, would she be the one to broke the billion threshold first? I remember her tour demand during 25 was INSANE. The same as Taylor's demand right now at the very least.

Girl the demand was not the same as the current demand for the Eras Tour, what?ย :hoetenks:

She did tour 25. 121 shows with a 278 million dollar gross.ย

Adele sings LIVE, which is hard to do extensively and continuously.ย

Others arent really singing if they do the songs arent really challenging like Adele's ballads tbh.ย

Because Adele makes her price affordable, and she really doesn't like stadiums. I vividly remember articles posting how about 10 million people tried to get tickets on her US shows alone. Adele could definitely gross a billion during 25 era if she wanted to

Hello alone is bigger and more global than any Swift song :skull:ย And let's not even talk about the monstruous album sales.

Imagine voting for 1989 :toofunny3:
