Not to mention so many of the current smash hits are midtempo, like Kill Bill, Anti-Hero, and Bad Habit. My hopes remain high

Hate Me was supposed to be the first single of Plastic Hearts, she even recorded a MV for it. There's rumors Angels Like You was the second option for lead single before Midnight Sky became the final choice, but I'm not sure.

You're probably talking about Hate Me, which had a MV filmed that ended up being scrapped for some reason

Hate Me is one of my favs from Plastic Hearts I can’t believe a video for it is just rotting on her hard drive  it’s a very weird lead single choice though IMO

If I remember correctly, the video concept was her own funeral.

Guys I just saw a comment on tiktok of someone saying she’s not sampling Bruno and that she’s using different melodies in all of the teasers to throw us off the sound and I think this is exactly what she’s doing and this is why every teaser is her vocals isolated

I'll never understand why she didn’t simply release the video after PH rollout was done as a gift for the fans.

They are keeping up the hype for the lead single and creating more hype by showing presence. It is a very clever tactic so far.
