yep, more and more convinced that the main goal of this era is just to get them "her first #1 in over 13 years", and that's it; same as in ESV with her first Grammy and in SB elevating her status to "pop legend" (which they didn't pull off) They just waited for the weakest period of the year, that's why everything's so rushed.

Billie and Doja are not "new" they are from mid 10s generation wit Dua, SZA and Karol G. Maybe Doja feels "new" because her smash year was 2020 and her stats are not big like them.

This… isn't good. A label like Atlantic only cares about the peaks. The huge number of versions and the rushed album release, picking exactly the weakest time of the year, shows they wanted (or still want) that #1 for Miley. It's clear they want to base the rest of the era's promo on "hey, it wasn't a flop, it was her first #1 in over 13 years."
