Miley Cyrus teases new album
Yeah it's definitely gettin' pushed back if it was coming in the next 2 weeks. But maybe this is the occasion to add a last minute tribute to her godmother in the album or a video?

US Airplay Discussion
Ariana sucking up all the plays That's what 10+ years of consistency in the business gives you Some big cities are ignoring it, smaller cities are 'drop dead' biggest supporter. A fraud is when a song gets a big push out of nowhere when it's close to hitting #1 and then freefalls immediately. We've seen it happen a few times.

Prince Harry & Meghan Markle moving back to the UK
There's no reason for any of this except that King Charles' cancer is more serious than they let on and since they reconciled not long ago he wants to continue fixing the relationship before he dies. Especially since Charles met his grandchildren for the first time during that reunion in July. British media are vicious, it's gonna be a tough move. Feel bad for the kids. Supposedly lol Harry has always tried to fix his relationship with his father, it's the William one that is impossible to mend. Understandable considering the stuff he said in his book. They haven't sold their houses in america or Portugal. As soon as the old man dies they leaving again for good.

KATSEYE - 'WILD'
My god is their music soulless and horrendous. It's like someone asked AI to do the sloppiest K-Pop. But they are all drod dead gorgeous and so sweet in all the video/shorts I've seen on social media. Wishing them all the best and protect their mental health 🙏

Olivia Rodrigo - 'you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love'
"the cure" will become the biggest missed radio push of all time. as a start, triple AAA would've ate this up, even if it's just 5-7 million audience impressions

Olivia Rodrigo - 'you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love'
"expectations" unfortunately is a bit childish and only skews toward 1 gender, while "maggots for brains" is more universal if y'all want to maximize broad appeal it's an easy choice

TMZ: Brad Pitt is drinking alcohol again after seven years sober
He already lost his wife and kids. He doesn't owe sobriety to anyone but himself now. Especially the court, what a coincidence he now can talk about it publicly since his youngest child just turned 18 last month ... In other news, I'm off my diet. Let the good times roll. But was he ever in that diet? I bet the being sober thing was just PR required in the custody battle with Angelina.

Ariana Grande - 'petal'
Imagine if the production wasn't so weirdly muffled and she used her voice like the DW days. This would be her best album for me. I wish she sat on this one a little bit longer and released it next year. It feels like bad timing.

SOUR x GUTS x YSPSFAGISL chart runs so far. Surprised?
and yet there's no undeniable smash for YSPSFAGSIL looking at the Hot 100. that's the embodiment of an album artist with great word-of-mouth.

Ariana Grande — petal review thread | Metacritic: 67 (+1) | AOTY: 64 | Pitchfork 6.5
that score is shocking. being closer to 60 than 70 is such a rare occurrence for popstars. i don't care at all about MC compared to AOTY but this album does not deserve to be that low. so many album's score released since covid needs to be lowered then because there's so many mid albums that were around 70.

Ariana Grande - 'petal'
She hasn't put a single bad body of work since 'my everything' which is her only one that is just disjointed and generic in her disco. What surprised me the most about this new album is the production which feels eclectic and fresh I think this is her best produced album since 'thank you next'. I was afraid the album would sound minimalistic like "hate that I made you love me" but it's the opposite. I will need to listen more but the melodies could be just as strong as 'eternal sunshine' with time. Now my biggest problem with this album and that's purely personal taste is how she uses her voice and the vocal production which I think is a direct product of Ari being the main producer of her own vocals which don't get me wrong is a great talent to have, good for her for mastering the recording softwares and all. But she's being complacent and there's nobody to challenge her anymore, I'm suspecting it's also a vocal health thing (one again, it's smart but starting to affect the work) . It's getting worse with every album lately, really weary of her soft vocals and overreliance on stacked harmonies. It feels like one long continuous lullaby and I don't feel the emotions as much. It's such a shame for such a talented vocalist to not play and show more versatility with her voice anymore. I yearn for the old Ari that used to belt with a deep voice and do weird experimentation that made you feel something. This leaning into more mature, precise, and texturally subtle vocal arrangements has gone a bit overboard and emotionless. Once again: personal taste.

Charli xcx - 'Music, Fashion, Film'
the way this would shape up to easily challenge Olivia's album for AOTY if all the songs were at least 30 seconds longer ... she's selling herself short by either trying to be edgy or super lazy. neither are cute. What a f***g waste.

Lauren Bennett passed away (G.R.L, Paradiso Girls)
Because dying of a stage 5 cancer or something like multi-organ failure from a accident is just fate, the person in question and family can come to peace with death without being haunted by guilt and suffering. There's nothing worse than mental health related death that hope could've healed.

Lauren Bennett passed away (G.R.L, Paradiso Girls)
Omg She had such a strong distinctive voice. I loved her charisma. R.I.P. girl. Awful thing to say but I hope it's not mental health related and more physical health stuff that was hard to overcome. an anthem that deserved to smash

At least 10 Earthquakes reported in the last 24 hrs, Japan, Venezuela, US & More
The 2023 Turkiye earthquake killed an insane 62k and people are quick to forget it. The reason is the region is rarely hit by strong earthquakes in the past century and in the meantime tons of poorly built high rise apartment buildings without regulations spread everywhere. Probably same situation in Venezuela looking at the videos/pictures. Hopefully it doesn't reach those sad Turkyie numbers but it wouldn't be surprising. Prayers for all.

UPDATE: Halsey vs Fantano: Fantano drags Halsey's past making out with underage fans
both annoying but Halsey has been more annoyingly in my radar since the Bieber days. and lately every time I see shorts of her on my feed in interviews, she's giving Lizzo syndrome. blaming everyone but herself for her lack of success.

Chlöe & Timbaland - 'Resurrection'
This is really good most songs are a bit too short but somehow it works. I won't mind having this on loop for a while. Hopefully this is just the precursor for a bigger project

- Olivia Rodrigo - 'you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love'
I think 'expectations' is going viral- Chlöe & Timbaland - 'Resurrection'
Despite how problematic both have been lately, I'll check this out because I miss a good R&B voice on a Timbaland beat. Take me back to Afrodisiac days please- Olivia Rodrigo - 'you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love'
you won't see enough praise here but once the dust has settled it will be the track with the biggest longevity off this album because it attracts an older audience, not just young.- Olivia Rodrigo - 'you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love'
'maggots for brains' and 'expectations' are the only songs who got significant amount of spins on US radios over the weekend. just as much as 'stupid song' actually. just an indicator of what radios programmers gravitate towards. - Olivia Rodrigo - 'you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love'
