Welp my Filipina mother just discovered Miley Cyrus via Flowers. She’s overplaying tf out of Plastic Hearts currently (deserved) 

I’m just lowkey concerned cuz I dont think she recognizes that the current Miley is the same girl that twerked her ass in VMAs 2013 whom she slutshamed

I also got a warning for literally defending Miley against a swiftie in a literal Miley vs Taylor thread. It’s so pathetic and embarrassing that a select few of these “mods” will use the little power they have on this site to target people who say something they don’t like about their fave. The obsession is giving mental illness. And if I get a warning point for this, it’s just proof these mods are not qualified to be mods at all

Boy’s a liar is almost doing 100k more than Flowers on Spotify.

The overwhelming success of this song just reinforces the fact that I’ve completely lost touch with what a hit is these days  it’s grown on me a bit, but it’s still my least fave lead single of hers and, if I were the EP, it probably would have been left on the cutting room floor or relegated to a bonus track in Japan or something. SO happy for my sis achieving the biggest song of her career though, not complaining at all, she deserves the smashery ❤️

Why are the streams always dropping a LOT on Sunday?  At this rate it’ll drop to 7M the next Sunday. 
 

Flowers did 8.08M this Sunday (day 38). For comparison, Stay did 9.2M still on its 38th day, albeit it had a slow rise as opposed to Flowers which peaked in its first week. And it continued to do over 9M next two Sundays, let alone weekdays where it comfortably did over 10 million streams for several weeks. 
 

As It Was did 7.6M and Good 4 U did 7.4M on the same day so Flowers is currently 2nd most streamed song on 38th day i think. Which is still absolutely phenomenal but still, i’m getting worried because the streams are slowing down much faster than i expected. Hopefully the album release will boost the streams up a little bit.

Considering how far music videos have fallen on YouTube, this is pretty much 550 million views 

I've been seeing the song get a lot of hate on Tik Tok though  Probably due to excessive exposure.

The pattern of the big free-fall on Sunday seems to not stop. This will be doing under 7M before the album drops at this point

I wanted it to stay close to 8M like with As It Was but oh well ...

I got to be honest...this is not my favorite Miley lead. Something about it doesn't draw my attention as much as some of her other leads.

Any information about a second single so far? Love Flowers but I'm intrigued to know where the album is heading sonically. RN it's giving me kind off Going To California by P!nk.
