Fairly, yes, Renaissance is Beyonce's truly best album All her vision, efforts from past decade came together naturally with the record

Midnights is great album too. It is cohesive, I can feel the nuance, lyrically delivers but YES, some parts are a choice

7 is too low, especially when they gave Red 9, and Lover 7,1

 

I dont trust Pitchfork's taste

All I can say is Renaissance is at 9,5 and Midnights at 7,8

 

Yes and they were exactly correct on both.

Yes, Ren is AOTY material and probably Beyoncé's best album while Midnights it's mid tier Taylor Swift album

Ren served AOTY. It was undeniable, even to historical OBHs critics.

Unfortunately I agree with Pitchfork's rating for both albums, Midnights is good but I wouldn't put it on Taylor's Top 3. But then again, seeing awful records like Artpop and Justice earning higher scores undermines their credibility. I would have Taylor at 7.5 or 8.0 to solve that.

They were right on both though Midnights could be moved a bit higher .

Both got their deserving scores

Even though they're very biased when it comes to Beyoncé I kinda think they were right with this one. Beyoncé took a lot of risks with Renaissance and it's an amazing body of work from top to bottom, one of my top 3 AOTY's for sure.

You actively dislike Beyoncé and have no qualms with trashing her in almost every thread that is created about her. She could create the absolute most perfect album ever to exist and you'd still call it overrated.

Renaissance cannot be known for it's production wtf? It has some of the weakest production I've ever heard from a MPG.

Honestly Ren could've been higher, but for Pitchfork's general scale 9.0 is perfect.

 

Mid could've been lower, but the fact that it's ranked as second worst (well I can't remember what her s/t received) and Reputa is her worst at least that's correct.

Personally, I'd put it at 7.8 too.

 

7 is not a bad score though, so let's just count our blessings instead of gloating.
