Renaissance is more diverse and has more sub-genres, and better overall while Chromatica is more cohesive and has less sub-genres

Honestly I was rooting so hard for renaissance. After my first few listens i really don't think its what I expected. Maybe that's literally my fault for wanting just club banger after banger ala BMS. I did not expect half the songs to have a more urban leaning sound or even RnB at points.

 

The transition between tracks are crazy good but it still doesn't feel sonically cohesive. Idk how to describe it. I feel like the transitions in chromatica were more cohesive. Idk I'm probably biased. Sorry, but I'm trying 

 

I will stream a few time to see if it hits. Until then I voted chromatica. I will literally come back to change my vote otherwise.

Embarrassing for Renaissance to be in the same conversation. It’s okay not to like Beyonce but at least respect her work. 

Chromatica isn't close to as bad as many make it seem, but Renaissance effortlessly shits on it in every way  

They really aren’t that similar it’s an awkward comparison. They both pull from very different sides of house music. While I enjoy both I think I’m gunna have to give it to Renaissance.

It's funny because some tried to claim Beyonce tried to copy Chromatica (like who would even want to copy that) but not only are the two completely different but in terms of quality, Renaissance completely obliterates Chromatica in every conceivable way.

Even though I enjoy Chromatica I can’t deny that it’s definitely watered down and could have been better. Beyoncé delivered a cohesive body of work full of so many earworms it’s hard to compete. 

Chromatica is beyond basic. She should have recruited people that are innovative and adventurous to produce it instead of those faceless EDM bros and her having no hand in the production definitely shows. That's why people saying Beyonce doesn't contribute in the making of her albums is so hilarious to me, it's obvious that the tiniest detail is controlled and overseen by her. Every album of hers since 4 has been full of so much life, so much passion, so much ambition and excitement. That doesn't just happen. Chromatica is completely dead in comparison.

If the Liddos have any decency left, they will stop comparing their fave to Beyoncé because RENAISSANCE just humiliated Chromatica. Like it’s clear as day that Bey is operating 1000 levels above Gaga  just enjoy Gaga and stop coming for Bey!!

They can compare Chromatica to Future Nostalgia I guess. They're both quick little oontz oontz dance pop albums for the gay clubs (although FN has richer production). Beyonce just took decades of Black artistry and remixed them into an uplifting masterpiece for the future generations, she's in a whole other galaxy to them.

Yeah and Chromatica felt like it was stuck in a back 2012 production room. 2 of my very best friends are stans of Gaga and are actually going to see her on tour and even they agreed. We were all listening to the album together when it came out and it was a sad experience

I still think Bloodpop was the one who ruined it because the early demos were better than some finals. Anyways Beyoncé is on top no matter which way you stack it.
