Renaissance is a great and innovative album, but it doesn't have any instant earworms like Chromatica had for me. I guess I need more time with it like I did with Lemonade. :swim2:

Babylon alone stomps on Bey's whole discography

The poor man's Vogue :lmao:

That songs sums up exactly Gaga's discography: unoriginal, cheap, bland and watered-down.

Haven't heard Bey's album yet but I imagine I'll like it better based on what some are saying about it. It took me time to come around to Chromatica because I thought it could have gone MUCH further (especially after hearing Sophie was involved, etc.). Gaga is capable of massively pushing the envelope but Chromatica doesn't demonstrate that. That said, it's good as simply a pop album.

Chromatica was a massive step-up from Artpop and Joanne, I really hope she's bold enough to make something a little more experimental for LG7.

I haven’t heard RENAISSANCE yet and it’s soooo much better than that other album. :jonny5:

Girl, at least Gaga doesn't need an army of white men to write her albums.

There's nothing cheap or unoriginal in Gaga's discography lmao.

Bey could only dream of achieving classics like Shallow or Bad romance. That's originality. Heck, She hasn't even surpassed Telephone's iconicness.

:beach:

Sit down. Your fave is a fraud just like her husband.

I like both, but Reneissance wins easily.

It's so much more versatile and fun, the vibe and energy are much better as well. There's funk, rnb, house, rap, indie...

Renaissance is really, really good.

Renaissance is more cohesive

but Chromatica has Alice, Rain on Me, 911, Replay, and Babylon

I'll go with Renaissance, but really, with small margin because it is more my music and I think I can listen to entire album without skip

Every song on chromatica was written by a dozen of people, so this is a lie

1) She would need that considering her songwriting has been at all-time low for a decade. Pathetic to say the least. The melodies and lyrics that she puts out are just laughable.

Just confront BloodPop's work on both albums and you'll notice the difference.

At this point I'm convinced it's not even his fault for Chromatica's sloppy production, it's hers.

Gaga's incompetence can only do so much :bibliahh:

2) Beyoncé has Crazy In Love, Halo, Irreplaceable, Single Ladies, Love On Top and Say My Name which are more iconic that your fave's existence.

3) She doesn't need to sell jockstraps to inflate her album sales.

I actually really love Artpop's messy chaos, but yes I'm also really hoping she leans into her experimental/risky side for LG7 kind of in the vein of Dawn of Chromatica.

At least we can be sure that Chromatica ended up being the way Gaga wanted it to be, it's her vision. We can't say the same about Ren.

We know 100% Bey had zero input on it. The good sis can't even give a 1 minute speech without having to read a card.

Chromatica has great replay value and almost every song on there has very catchy melodies, the only thing that really keeps it from achieving a solid high is it’s lack of chorus’ on some of the songs. Renaissance conceptually is alright but it’s melodies all fall flat and on top of that a lot of the songs have very bland productions. Also Chromatica has 2,3 really weak songs, Renaissance has about 4,5. You do the math

I mean let’s face it nobody uses Chromatica since 2020 so…

Then we can agree that her vision is flat out garbage, poor thing. She can't do anything right :lmao:

Beyoncé doesn't need to show her eloquence when she has been proving she's the mastermind and the one executing her art since the first Destiny's Child album.

Keep talking nonsense though, it won't change the fact that Beyoncé will always **** on your fave.

Even though Chromatica has bigger choruses, Rena feels stronger production wise so I'll go with it.

Then why aren't her masterful albums outstreaming Gaga's

Gurl, she's forgotten. Her time's up.

Chromatica all the way >>>>

Replay doing a LOT of heavy lifting here, but not even she can stand up to how much more consistent Renaissance is sadly :chick3:

What does streaming have to do with it? Her albums are more acclaimed that Gaga's and Rennaisance will continue the trend.

Both better than any Britney album ever as they are always trend hoppy. Her big comeback song not being solo, being with a very old man, being a cover/tribute song AND being trend hoppy is an example of why her music's bad.

Your delusion, lies, and obsession with Britney become more and more apparent with every post. Touch grass.

This is just going to be a Monster / Beyhive pissing match for 2 records that sound nothing alike- but I'll throw in some thoughts that no one will read and im only typing because im recovering from a long ass day at disneyland. haha.

I was expecting a different sound for Renaissance, I thought the name was implying more experimentation and more house/electronic elements, but after listening to the record the name makes more sense in that its more of a reference to past artists that brought in new sounds of their time. I havent processed Renaissance fully yet, so I won't judge it completely, but I have some initial thoughts. There are some really great highs, the chorus on Virgos Groove is infectious (I've heard this melody before but it doesn't matter) - I think the Grace Jones feature was kind of wasted, it doesn't really feel like a song she would do and it's one of the weaker tracks on the album. Alien Superstar is fun, the "I'm Too Sexy" sample works really nice. Pure / Honey is a lot of fun, love the nod to ballroom. I think the album feels a little too bloated, and some songs could have been trimmed a bit. I'm really curious how the public is gonna react to it. A lot of the samples are from songs that are pretty legendary and if im being honest, those old hits kinda did it....better? (I feel love, etc)

I think Chromatica is extremely underrated but I can certainly be critical too. Stupid Love as the lead for example was a major mistake. Out of all the songs on the album that feel out of place its that one. I almost always listen to the entire album from start to finish with no skips- its cohesive and easy to listen to. I think the production could have used more punch on some things (the chorus to 911 is lacking something as an example) - I also think the lyrics on songs like Plastic Doll are way too on the nose. Gaga is an eloquent speaker, but I get this impression her label asks her to dumb down her songs.

I'll probably listen to Chromatica as an album way more than Renaissance as it's a lot easier to digest, but I'm definitely adding some Renaissance tracks to my playlist- specifically Alien Superstar, Cuff It, Virgos Groove, and Pure / Honey.

The worst song on RENAISSANCE is far better than any song on Chromatica let's not :rip:

RENAISSANCE took the 90's house soundscape and aesthetic and pushed them beyond their boundaries giving us what basically feels like a post-house album. Chromatica on the other hand is just a tacky parody of that era.
