You obsessed Beyonce haters are 1 of 2 things: either insanely sick with delusion or hatred, or incredibly……I’ll just be polite and say not the smartest kid in the class

You guys keep quoting that article. I remember people quoting it to say Beyonce outsold Adele. I’m talking about total figures. I don’t care how much was sold in one year, especially if the album only sold less than 1.5 M copies pure at the end of its run.  Adele sold like what 8 million copies by January 2016? I don’t get what the article is meant to do for Beyonce.

All yall ever do is complain when people don't do enough promo then yall complain that people do too much promo. Artists never win

The album literally sold over 2 million pure in the U.S. alone :rip: do you even do your research or just literally say whatever pops in your mind, because research appears to not be your friend :rip:

Yes, having the best selling album in a year when Drake, Rihanna, and Lady Gaga all released studio albums surely makes an album a “flop”. :rip: Like I said, not the smartest kid in the class…

For some strange reason, my replies to you aren't posting. Send me Lemonades sales with outSPS from 2017, US only. Pm me.

Guys some of you are very outdated

Giving interviews and performing on shows is for newbies, or artists like Doja Cat or Dua Lipa that are still establishing.

Bey knows it won’t do much to her numbers.

Also when you are as big as her, everything gets twisted in the media and sometimes it ends up damaging the era, Billie was the most recent victim of it, it almost ruined HTE.

That is 2019, babe. I want sales from a reliable source from 2017, not a whole 3 years after the album was released.

Wiki has the album at 3 million based on SPS but a little over 1.5 M in pure sales. That is more plausible.

Anyway, I am out because I know a mod is gonna find a way to warn me for derailing or baiting or something like that.

…..who cares how much an album sold in 2017 :rip: you said it didn’t even sell 2 million overall, when it’s literally sold over 2 million In the U.S. alone :rip:

Just don’t respond to me anymore, whatever weird point you’re trying to make is…. I don’t even know or care :rip:

^^ That.

She doesn’t promote because she doesn’t want to do all of that work for poor album and single sales. Plus, it’s easier for her fans to have an excuse for why her album/songs flopped: she knows that. The former I don’t blame her because promoting nowadays doesn’t equate to support/big sales.

The MV for BMS is probably coming this Friday. If she waits until release week that’s a weird strategy. But it plays into my first thought.

This. I feel like I remember people theorizing that even the self-titled surprise drop was only a thing so that if it flopped, that could be the excuse

All of the weird strategies with most of her releases after self-titled all seem to play into the same thing -- the surprise drops, lack of promo, weird choices with singles/videos/streaming, etc. It gives her a good excuse if she flops. It's honestly really savvy of her to have flipped it into the "Queen Bey doesn't give a ****" attitude

Obviously, almost everything she puts out is a smash success regardless, but having those convenient excuses helps shield her.

A month of pre-orders, plus lead time to produce the physicals so they’re ready to ship first week. It’s pretty much a requirement given the current BB rules for physicals, at least if you want to have a good first week.

Beyoncé has every accolade under the sun & is a certified legend at this point in her career. She doesn’t need to do massive traditional roll outs or chase hits. For what? Enjoy the music or tune out if it’s not your thing. The rest is coming in due time anyway and I know that when she does drop something, it’ll be quality & worth the wait. fockmeowth.png

Plus I feel it's too late to release a video for it. She should just release the next single with a video at this point

She's already done more for this album than ST/Lemonade to be honest.

Are you saying BMS is a quick lil single? It's still doing well with huge potential to rise and stay relevant for weeks to come.

There's MV, album release, tour announcement, live performances... Be patient.

I really don’t care, BMS has classic written all over it. I hope the video helps you see the light

I think promotion budgets are lacking in the digital era because there is not an immediate payoff.

It’s annoying but these veterans start getting lazy like this.  It’s annoying. They were always more driven in the beginning.

Probably was planning on a surprise visual drop on top of British Vogue but missed the deadline so they put BMS out (since Vogue likely had a contractual video piece) and now the album comes when it comes with the finished physicals.

Some of you make no sense whatsoever.

She surprise-released because 4 leaked 4 weeks in advance. And there's nothing "under performing" about Self Titled.
