Do you miss the old Cher?

Featured Replies

Do you miss the old Cher, when she used to care about the art and not the charts? When she was real and raw and weaponized folk pop and country influences before selling out (or evolving) to dance pop? When she didn’t rely on auto tune and covers and sang from her soul and wrote her own music? Do you long when you first listened to Bang Bang when it premiered on the radio stations and you were mesmerized by her deep voice that was unlike the other pop girls. I miss this Cher… just want her back

She's decades past retirement age and still pursuing her passions and I find that extremely inspiring actually.

What :rip: I mean, I was not around at this time, I only remember some lady singing believe as a kid, closer to the truth was in fact first era I expirienced :chick1:

Wasn’t folk in general more popular in the 60s? Listen to pop songs from back then, they’re not the dancey slutty jams we’ve been getting since the 00s.

Sorry but 60s Cher is my least favorite Cher.

Her rock hits after the Moonstruck comeback are the high point of her career.

:rip: I don’t think any of us were around in the 60s.

OT: No. I do miss the 1987-1995 Cher though. She’s been doing dance music for way too long now.

Atrl only cares about the Believe era for obvious reasons.

"Believe" will forever be that classic bop and the gays anthem! BUT Rock Cher is my favorite Cher tbh.

She never cared about her music as she’s always been a label puppet, she literally said CTtT (2013) was the first album of hers she’s liked.

Yeah i miss the old Miss Cher Lloyd i loved her music bringing back when she released her second album :clap3:

I love Cher! My favourite period is 1969-1977. But she's had good music in all decades, specially until Living Proof album (included of course).  And the ***** needs to finally make available (in lossless downloads via Qobuz, 7Digital or HDTracks) her mid-70s albums: Stars (1975), I'd Rather Believe in You (1976) and Cherished (1977).

I definitely miss If I Could Turn Back Time Cher. :jonny6:
