Why did it take so long for Madonna to return to form musically?
I still think Madame X was a return to form even though some parts of that era are a bit cringe, and the album doesn't sound that good now that we have Confessions II. But, I still consider it a return to form. Rebel Heart had some good tracks, but the leaks kind of destroyed the project. Listen to the demos, some fantastic work there. The album became way too overproduced and the final product is quite bloated. MDNA and Hard Candy have some bops, but that's it. There are some gems in those though (Masterpiece, Love Spent, The Devil Wouldn't Recognize You)
- Madonna and Kylie Mingoue evaporated from UK chart after one week. What went wrong?
- Britney Spears vs. Rihanna: better singles?

Confessions II. What happened?
Naming THAT song of all songs as the "only decent" one. Also, please learn proper punctuation and grammar. Trying to read that sentence gave me a brain aneurysm.

Music is Madonna's most underrated album, why?
I think for a variety of reasons: -it's sandwiched between ROL and Confessions (AL too I guess) -it's literally named "Music" 💀 not really memorable -it only had 3 singles, which is a shame -there wasn't really any controversy this era or a massive reinvention. only controversy was the WIFLFAG music video, but let's be real it's kind of forgotten. it wasn't on the level of Like a Prayer/JML/Erotica/Human Nature

Madonna (68) leads the VMAs noms in 2026. Shocked?
The fact that her first Vma was for the Video Vanguard Award and Borderline, Lucky Star, Like a Virgin, and Material Girl all got snubbed

Best-selling female albums worldwide each year since 2000 (#1 & #2)
No sh*t. Mariah's was released in April so it literally had all year to sell. While Madonna's was released in November, so it sold that total in less than 2 months If anything, this makes Confessions numbers much more impressive. Thanks for providing the receipts on how fast she was pushing albums at 47 years old! Not everyone could have a hit album that late into their careers.

Which pop girl has the most iconic #2 hit?
Bad Romance and Material Girl tied In all honestly, it's obviously Girls Just Wanna Have Fun. Party in the USA is a close second, imo. As someone who just started going to the bars two years ago, that song is played every night and everyone sings it at the top of their lungs. Girls, straight guys, country guys, surfer guys, literally everyone.

13 years ago, Katy and Gaga sparked a pop culture moment with Roar an Applause
Oh wow, I was only 10 at the time but I remember this day like it was yesterday I was team Applause but Roar just has that nostalgia factor to it, mainly due to the guitar in the second/last chorus. I still prefer Applause but they both have wayyy better songs. It's wild to me how both of their careers turned out. Katy was riding a massive high, I remember everyone was posting her Half Time show on Snapchat in 2015. She was definitely the coolest pop star of 2010-2015. Crazy how that went down in flames with Witness.
