...finally got around to listening to Bouquet and came to the realization that this was not a Gwen Stefani album. Bouquet is Gwen Shelton's debut. I was optimistic going it and while it wasn't bad... it wasn't anything I'll probably revisit anytime soon.

All this deluxe talk is laughable to me. I hope I'm wrong but... a lot of y'all are too optimistic... I know that's a bad thing to say but at this moment after everything we know, the time for optimism is out the window. She's reverted back to a show and prove act. I've liked the new little performances she's done. So that's what I'll be doing... waiting to see as she shows and proves. I know she can, the question is will she? I'll never understand the criticism of lip syncing. EVERYONE does it! The best of them just don't make it obvious and are smart enough to re-record "live versions" with places muted out for live vocals. If you are gonna be a performer with heavy choreography, especially a solo act... mime away. It's not like she's up there Milli Vanilli. We know that's her voice on the track. She's not just standing up there lip syncing, home girl gon put on a show. Save them live vocals for a ballad.

Pure stupidity leaving off Million Dollar Baby & Devil Is A Lie. At the very least he could've added them at the end of the album and labeled them bonus tracks. He was really fighting against that mainstream success and it worked... 3.4k for a debut from an artist who went mega viral and had a certified hit song... embarrassing isn't strong enough a word.

hopefully one of these days Normani will show some actual interest in her music ...because as Paula Abdul once said, "I'm Just Here For The Music". that's what I would like from her! ...music videos, live performances, remixes, b-sides, physical copies, deluxe editions, extended editions, limited editions, award shows, collaborations, features, tours, festivals... basically anything music related ...and not just rumors and rumblings of or empty promises and talks of... but actual... tangible now ol' girl HAS been out there looking cute but honestly, truly **** a fashion show!

Agreed. The album, its announcement and everything that was or is going along with it should have been held until all was locked, loaded and ready to be deployed. The "strategy" that we've all seen unfold is and was asinine. And I don't need any think-pieces defending it. Behind the scenes drama is her private business, I DO-NOT-CARE! Normani always has bts drama. Always, or at least that's the excuse we're given or use every time she drops then dips. Thousands of other artist overcome much worse and still mange a helluva lot better (announcement February, release June, then crickets and we're approaching October... LOL, I have to laugh) ...all this to say I'll still enjoy if or when we get something, anything, but I will not be holding my breath, I'd die. DOPAMINE still gets regular plays from me weekly... such a great debut, wasted! honestly, truly, royally fumbled.
