yes this is a historic bomb but all the reviews and trades are defending her, saying that she was the only good grace of the movie. everyone involved with the movie will be hit in some way (with J****** and that other man taking most of it) but she will be fine eventually. 

 

if ever there was a moment to focus on music it's this one, so I hope the good sis does just that for all our sakes

Gotta agree with this: while it was campy as hell, HOG was such an editing mess that I thought I was allucinating sometimes

This has been a rough couple of weeks not gonna lie to you guys, it's really disappointing the movie turned out to be this panned flop but at least we have the new album to look forward to

Yeah, it sucks, but at the end of the day this isn't anything like ARTPOP.

I've become an Impatient Being 

So regarding the supposed J:FAD "backlash" I have yet to find any post on social media with significant engagement dragging Gaga, it's just a couple of losers on comment sections. So despite of how much of a failure this movie is I see no merit at all in the ARTPOP era comparisons. The only relevant person who was critical of Gaga that I'm aware of is Fantano, who decided to become a movie critic for some reason, but then again he has been critical of practically everything Gaga has put out lately.

Looking up Gaga on tiktok daily for the most popular tiktoks and at one point there was that tiktok about leaving theaters (that didn't mention her specifically) and everything else has been either Die With A Smile being the mega-viral smash it is or just other big tiktoks showing appreciation for her discography (hits and deep-cuts).

I think she's unscathed. And it's not surprising since she gave people nothing to work with - she did a great performance, was lovely and unpretentious during the press tour.

I haven't seen that many posts or articles blaming Gaga for the film's reception but the idea as a whole. If anything, Joaquin has been more criticised than Gaga given it was his idea, and most articles point out that some scenes in the trailer didn't even make it to the final cut, which says a lot about what went down during the editing process. 
 

Anyhow, it's water under the bridge now for me. DWAS is still fantastic and smashing and we have a new single coming out in hopefully, a couple of weeks.
