The album is good. Quite atmospheric, broody, even dark-ish, I would never say angry. The reviews are crazy tho. The album is quite solid. It's definitely not a 50 by CoS, it's easily a Pitchfork 7.3 and a RS 80. The fact that this might end in the very low 60s on Metacritic and even high 50s / 60 on AOTY is wild

Not this when she's one of the very few huge A++/S tier artists defending trans rights the way she does. In fact, I'd say out of the top 5 female artists right now in pop music she's by far the one who's defending one of the most threatened minorities in the world right now, even in countries where LGB rights are basically consistent.

True Blue sounding more modern it's crazy to me. Her worst album is LAV tho. LAP might have the worst production of any of her albums along LAP but lyrically and melody wise is far superior

LAP is good but its biggest problem (in some of the songss) is its organic, almost live jam production. Express Yourself has some of the best melodies of every Madonna song but until she removed those dated ass horns and live drums it didn't come alive to being as good as it is. In general, the drums in this album are all over the place
