happy mistake hitting hard as miss. ga receives the biggest panning of her career the movie is unsalvageable at this point.  the good news is there's no way she's going to oscar campaign so she's free to announce LG7 lead release date today and focus on a huge album cycle instead 

My brother went and saw Joker 2 at the drive-in last night and he said it "sucked ass." He didn't know it was a musical though. I told him, if I wasn't even excited about seeing a movie with Gaga in it, he should have known it was going to be bad.

I don't think there's a "hate campaign" happening, except maybe on Twitter. My down-to-earth friends, who aren't on social media and don't follow pop culture, went to see it and just didn't like it.

 

Sometimes things just don't land, and there's no need to overanalyze it.

 

The reactions you're seeing aren't just about the movie's technical aspects; they're mostly about expectations. When you promise the audience a chaotic Folie à Deux between Harley and the Joker, that's what they'll expect—not a slow, plotless courtroom drama.

 

The incel baggage doesn't help either.

 

Let's move on to LG7! Who cares about Joker, it's sitting at 31% on RT—it's a lost cause. Let's focus on Garden of

For her next movie she should go comedy. Like a Judd Appatow vibe one. Lower budget, less post production and promo time + no need to keep it for the award season for a year or so festival. Then she can go back again with mid budget drama like HOG. 

I would love to see Gaga in a Greta Gerwig film. I feel like Greta truly understands women. 
 

Edit: obviously Greta understands women as a woman, but I feel like she writes truly great female characters

When you think about it, the lower the BO numbers, the lower the amount of people who go see it, and then the lower the amount of people who associate this with Gar…… I think we may be back to winning 

Also, I was listening to a HAC station this afternoon, and after playing DWAS, the DJ said a lot of people are walking out of Joker because it's a musical. Like can you not, sir?

There are reportedly, from G inner circle, starting from early summer, and from staff associated with videography, stylists and buying accessories in relation to Gaga project, that 3 of them have already been filmed, maybe they were filming advertisements for Haus Lab's Harlequin palette, but what about the rest 2?

Not saying Gaga will be nominated for an Oscar, but imagine the gag if she did. It certainly wouldn't be unprecedented to get an acting nom for a universally panned movie (e.g. Glenn Close in Hillbilly Elegy, Ana De Armas in Blonde). Glenn Close was also nominated for a Razzie in the same year for the same role.

The only way she'll get a nom is if the field she's competing for is really weak and a 'diamond in the dirt' narrative starts blowing behind her wheel, which I really, really doubt it's gonna happen.
