The end of the movie is out there in some reviews and after reading what it is and y'all noticing that they cut out a lot of Gaga's scenes filmed last year I'm thinking they recut/reshot a lot of **** because Zaslav and the studio didn't like the ending, resulting in Gaga getting much less screentime... 

I'm so excited for her to announce the single with the cover art, it will be such a moment. Hopefully over the next few weeks 

 

In before she leaves us hanging until end of October then surprise drops on Halloween

The movie will not suck, you will have a good time. Its the 5th most rated movie on the festival thus far, calm down.

I think my concern is that they mare a musical sequel of a comic book film starring Lady Gaga with a $200 million budget and somehow people are still able to call it boring.

 

There should be no reason a film with all those components should be able to be even remotely boring even to its biggest detractors. Kind of bummed about how the reception of this is shaking out but oh well. Maybe I'll like it 

I'm sorry but what is all this talk about "panned"? It is 60% on RT. That is not PANNED. For a divisive, foreign language indie movie musical like this, 60% is practically a masterpiece universal acclaim.

So, the international scores are fine? I am so confused. Anyways, I wonder if this is like Kill Bill 2 where there was much less action and violence. I am fine with that, because I can no longer watch violence. The Scream movies are the extent of it.

You're kind of ignoring that the "biggest detractors" went into the movie not wanting to like it. Only a handful of people have called it boring. This type of arthaus movie takes a certain level of intelligence to understand and clearly there are a lot of stupid people in the world.

They say it's all those courtroom scenes dragging it down (a repeat of HoG and it's boardroom scenes methinks, but worse).

If the bomb going off in the court room is the climax of the movie and ends up apparently killing Joker, why the **** would they include that so prominently in the trailers  like there were rumors that he was dying in this movie and even that she'd kill him, but making a scene that important (and a pretty big plot twist) that prominently featured in the marketing was a choice. 
 

but then also that scene in the trailers where he's covered in ash and running through the streets seems like it took place after the explosion. So idk.

I'm sad tbh. I thought the movie would get decent reviews, but it's been a mixed bag so far. Like I'm glad Gaga's apparently a highlight of the film, but I dunno, I wanted the whole film to be good not just the acting.
