  1. It's not okay…I don't **** with this
  2. It's more the Gwen Stefani print. She said the exact same thing in 2022 about it being "obvious what kind of person she is"
  3. It ******* SUCKS AND STINKS when artists you like pull this crap UGHHHHHH I feel like screaming my lungs out like Regina George as she's about to write in the burn book my god
  4. I think her Super Bowl performance was my fave. She looked so iconic in it
  5. I don't know we have to label being an opening act is humiliating though. That's just a bias people harbor for no reason. They're friends and she agreed to do it, why do we have to write over it as something that's bad? She has her own shows and tours too, it's not like she doesn't do it.
  6. also, what's falling off these days? i mean, a lot of 00's acts still tour/headline festivals and when i was a kid, a lot of washed up/fallen off acts were like...singing in dive bars or doing country club gigs and weren't doing anything new/exciting. they were like shells of their former selves. I get when they arent #1 or have a single that every generation is singing about, but to still be doing world tours in arenas, to open for Harry to 90K people a night, still making albums, still on the promo gauntlet... i dont know, it doesn't read like falling off to me when there are more pathetic (?) things artists could be stuck doing. not as popular, sure, but still in the game, no?
  7. Shania has done more promo for this album than most pop girlies in recent memory. and at 61 years old, too. i think everyone wants her to have her renaissance, and for the right reasons, but there is something to admire and appreciate in that she still trucks on, especially given how many L's life has thrown at her. She comes from the middle of nowhere Canada, grew up with an abusive stepfather, her mom dragged her around to perform in bars at 8 years old because she believed she would be a star, then lost both her parents at 22 in a car accident, put her career on hold to take care for her orphaned siblings, was cheated on later on in life, lost her voice to Lymes disease from a tick in Vermont, took 15 years off of music.... her life is actually a rags to riches tales that's marbled with adversity, in the truest sense. we stan that someone didn't let life beat them down into shutting up and giving up. the new album is cute
  8. the sound is less country and more lumberjack, if that makes sense. feels soooo algonquin/kawartha campfire kinda vibes
  9. Because of You still makes me shed a tear :'-)
  10. Just getting to it now, really really impressed with how this is sounding! I was really thrown off guard with Dirty Rosie, thinking it was so bad, but I reallllllly came around to it (the chorus is actually pretty catchy!) The non-singles are also really quite nice, better than what they chose to release I think! This might be her best work in the post-Mutt era, like her skills and confidence are getting better with every release. Might have to pick up a vinyl...
  11. Shania deserves the world and more. Also, her new album is not as bad as I was catastrophizing it was gonna be... the single choices were kinda ass, I like the other songs way more. Queen of everything and everyone, put her in a permanent banner NOW
  12. Some of Nicole Scherzingers solo work could be sung by like…someone else and it woulda went somewhere
  13. No because Shania is actually a Queen. We throw it around for any ol diva but she is a legendary icon. That album had like 12 singles or something crazy, and she was 30 or something. Name another. Lightning in a bottle excellence.
  14. There's no "Why?" when it comes to the question of Gaga's longstanding appeal and success. It was writ since day one.. She showed up in 2009 and it was clear from the get-go she was something special. Last of the greats imo. Generational, legendary talent. Enjoyed the end of monocultural appeal whereby new acts will only dominate tinier, fragmented communities. Her flowers grow in the garden of excellence like MJ, Elton, Madonna, Beyonce, David Bowie, etc etc etc. True class act, true talent, true vision, true culture-shifter, true pop emergency-maker, true to her story, and we're all better as a society for having her in it. I stand on it, period.
  15. What kinda D-series screen writer came up with "December 10" for a band name
