Lady Gaga
I read way back then she had an affair with that dude. It was from Laineygossip so it was a legitimate piece of gossip circulating amongst entertainment people, and not the usual CDAN bs. He's good looking, and seems intense, but also married and 5'4, but I think it was kind of dark times for our sis.

Is The One That Got Away the biggest solo pop girl hit of 2026?
It's the new "there's a smear campaign against my fave." Like, there was a group (probably still is) of ancient users who have nowhere to put their toxic energy anymore. I would guarantee they're probably the main ones who are pushing the idea of there's a (new) discord out there full of different people other than their loser selves, lol.

Confessions II departs the Billboard 200 after 5 weeks
Anyone who wasn't delusional knew it would drop off the charts fairly quick because that's how albums from actual legacy acts perform on a regular basis, like The Rolling Stones or Bob Dylan for example.

KATSEYE is the worst musical act of all time
They at least seem like they have distinct personalities and some joie de vivre. They just need better styling (like in the GAP ad), and more quality control.

Lady Gaga
With that clip posted, I wonder if she's actually doing AHS? If she ignored Ryan Murphy and never returned again it would be very iconic and cool tbh. Yet also, I think Ryan Murphy is a weird and petty person, and I suspect he's like lowkey peeved at her about something (probably because she didn't continuously hang out w/ him after working on AHS, lbr).

Is poptimism dead for good?
IDK, they're still praising pop albums that are aggressively whatever, but usually its by artists who are newer with less baggage. With Taylor and Ariana it's the phenomena where it's mainly the person who is under review, and critics have been doing that sort of thing for year and years.

Why do all the Beyoncé hits this decade have poor longevity?
I truly wonder what happened to the videos with Nadia Lee Cohen. Surely they couldn't have been that bad?

CONFESSIONS II at 2m daily. What went wrong?
I know it "legacy act" get thrown around at everybody, but Madonna is an actual legacy act, the new album debuted good but dropping like a rock into the abyss after that is just par for the course tbh. She's pretty much like The Rolling Stones or AC/DC.

My eyes are dilated
It will eventually come back, but if worried, call them again. Sometimes you got to Karen out on these people to be taken seriously. My mom has glaucoma, usually she just takes a long nap after her appointments when they dilate her eyes. Try not to panic tbh.

Ella Langley set to break all-time record set by Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey
I'll never understand the GeePee, their taste. My older sister loves this song.

Did Shania Twain fall off?
She kind of waited too long to follow up her hit album during a crucial transition of the late 90s to early 00s. It also didn't help that the producer that she had great musical chemistry with also cheated on her. She just never seemed to fully recover musically after that.

Katy Perry only spends a total of 12 weeks Hot 100 this decade, how?
IDK, but it's sad. She's pretty much tried everything, and nothing is working. That said, I'm sure she's ok, but her poor fans? Nothing but bad news for them, very little to brag about. Some of them even had to switch to stanning Sabrina, and in some cases, Nelly Furtado. It's bad for them.

Music, Fashion, Film Review Thread | MC: 84 Pitchfork: 8.2 BNM
I feel like this is more a basking in the afterglow score, it's not bad, but nowhere near True Romance, This is How I'm Feeling Now, or Brat.

Why isn't Bring Your Love doing better?
I feel like people respect Madonna's legacy, but the song was whatever, and the collab choice deliberate and cynical. It would've been much cooler if she led with Danceteria and didn't give a **** about charts.

Lady Gaga
I was researching out of curiosity, and as I suspected, Gaga has indeed switched publicists from The Lede Company to ID, which also consults for Warner Bros, and they mostly represent actors. I'm pleased she left them because I felt the Lede Company really never did anything for her, like they didn't do **** when she really needed it, like during ARTPOP. I think this switch happened during promo of the Joker bomb, as she showed up with an older woman accompanying her on the red carpet (her former publicist was some woman who always had a chopped outfit on and stank face). I think the new PR helped her navigate that disaster gracefully, though I think them promoting her as a pop star could use some work, that said, I feel you can tell a difference. Also, she's apparently got different PR in the UK (Adrian Read from Inside/Out).

Why doesn't Katy get dragged for collabos like GaGa does?
The collab thing isn't genuine and is only used to try to drag down Gaga a notch, whereas Katy is 2,000 leagues under the sea, none of her collabs were hits, there's nothing to tear down, so no one bothers.
