Yep, she will easily continue to be a major A-list celeb from movies alone, but her status as a currently relevant major pop star is going to fade if she takes forever to put something out and lets all of the hype die.  Hopefully she and her team have learned from last time.  Sounds like the album should be done by the time the movie comes out anyway.

I'm honestly feeling more excited for JFAD than LG7 at this point  Gaga starring in THE blockbuster film of the year which will undoubtedly be divisive and iconic is so exciting, not to mention that we're going to get a soundtrack album to go with it. This is the type of thing that most artists will never have in their entire careers, its gonna be fun to enjoy the ride

JFAD's hype can benefit Gaga in two ways: Pre-album hype to give LG7 a huge launch or middle-era hype to sustain momentum if LG7 comes before JFAD.

 

But ultimately the most important thing that LG7 will hinge on is quality. Chromatica was generally well-received critically but below TFM/BTW/ASIB, and even girls outside Beyonce and Taylor have stepped up their quality. I wouldn't be opposed to LG7 being a short era released before JFAD if they're confident in the quality of the music.

Exactly. I've been saying that the next album HAS to be a magnum opus or her Pop star career is OVER she's officially going to transition into legacy act territory while her acting career keeps flourishing. The girls have been bringing IT this decade and she won't get away with a mid album. 

 

Assuming the album comes out after the movie, this could be ASIB -> LG6 all over again hype wise and she shouldn't waste it.

I love Chromatica but she can definitely do better. I wish she would bring more writers and such onto her team, but I know that's not how she likes to make music. She's just so busy these days and I think that has a lot to do with why the album releases are moving at a glacial pace.

 

I won't get too into it since this is Gaga her base, but Cowboy Carter is genuinely an amazing album- there's really nothing like it that I've ever heard and that's truly impressive. If you look at the producer credits, it took a lot of incredibly talented people to make an album that monumental. I can hardly fathom what kind of madness Gaga could create if she allowed other talented folks to help her bring her ambitions to fruition.

I feel like fans have said this about every album since ARTPOP. Fans keep saying that every album is make it or break it, but she has kind of proved that is not true. As long as she keeps snatching exciting movie roles, she will be a force in all spheres of pop culture. 
 

Kind of want her to release Joanne 2.0 just to see the meltdowns here. And then in 2028 after Gaga stars in a standalone Harley Quinn movie fans will say, "LG8 needs to be her magnum opus!!! If not shes a dirty legacy act!”

Maybe not a pandemic, but if she doesn't releases before Trump inevitably starts his new term and dictatorship era we're definitely not gonna get an album until mid 2025
