Gaga getting love from the Stranger Things cast. I saw Finn talk about Abracadabra and now both him and Gaten talk about Mayhem like it's the coolest record ever! Oh, she got the straights with this album. 

Out of all the multiple ST cast stannings y'all had to thread the one where the interviewer acts like she hasn't heard of Lady Gaga in decades… 

 

The way the mic was on at the start of the Abra MV when she said "the category is dance or die" then the song starts and it's really quiet and compressed. The dancers chanting is also so loud over it

The only thing that sucks about DWAS chart run is that Mayhem was 7 months later. Imagine DWAS blowing up as Mayhem being a new album. The album would be like 8B streams already

It wouldn't have increased the total album streams that much but rather increased the first week sales by ~10k and made each week after that ~5k higher for a bit.

I would love Gaga to do a classy Enya style album, just serving quality production and vocals instead of the compressed pop

Get a job! 

Gaga has really achieved the best momentum since the BTW-Applause one. Of course it isn't bigger than the TFM-BTW one, that was one of the biggest momentums in music herstory, but it is a way bigger one than she's had in over a decade, presumably bigger than the ASIB one because Mayhem's quality is much better and she pleased her core fanbase too which she didn't exactly do with ASIB even though she pleased the GP.

 

The Stranger Things cast is just one of the examples of Gaga not needing to force her music down for it to be appreciated. She's getting love all around and now the Grammys are going to add even more respect to her name. Her body, her choice, of course, but her using this to launch a new album would be very, very smart.

She's from NYC, it's fitting to end her redemption tour there.

 

Nothing can describe the feeling of putting the Vanish studio instrumental on, slowing it down to 0.98x speed, and singing out loud with the vocal stylizations of the Colbert performance on top. 

 

Don't know how she took an already 10/10 song and elevated it to a ******* 11 with some simple yet beautiful changes to the notes and melodies but that's Godga's superhuman talent for you, I guess.

#11 "Mayhem"

Gaga's excellent sixth solo album, is a tidy synthesis of everything she does best: dark, throbbing, industrial dance music; lyrics about the intoxication and disorientation of fame; visually striking (and vaguely grotesque) aesthetics. The standard belting and the movie roles are nice, but I desperately missed this iteration of her.
